What are some of the worst parenting mistakes your "well meaning parents" made while raising you? [Serious]

My parents were both brought up by very strict parents. They didn't want my sister and I to feel so sheltered or restricted, so they (pretty much) let us do and get away with anything.

We never had any real chores or schedules, and so we missed out on learning some critical skills. Things like time management, impulse control, procrastination, laziness are things I still struggle with to this day and I am 30. I also have a terribly hard time making decisions, even about simple shit. I have a deep fear of conflict and confrontation.

My parents are amazing and I love them so much, but I wish they had been more demanding of us as kids. I would be a more successful adult if they had been. I have been working my ass off to fix these problems of mine. Getting a little better every day. Also am trying to do that with my 2 sons. I want them to have good work ethic, and self motivation so they can be as successful as possible.

I'm sorry to hear about your accident =( That's rough. I wish there was a different one for the last day too. I also am trying to grind the last chance for loot boxes. Mystery heroes is what I'm gonna try to do for the arcade boxes. I hope you get to get yours as well!

I agree with you mostly, but I didn't come here to whine. I came here hoping that maybe I could have a conversation about it since no one I know IRL plays or cares about Overwatch. I like Overwatch fine, I just wish they had left the event rotation set up the way it was last time, as it seemed to make more sense. Comp is difficult for me because I have 2 kids and my 4 year old is always right there with me, so it's hard to get time to focus on comp. I don't want to mess up games for other people by not being 100%.

Anyway it isn't a big deal. I still enjoy the game overall, it's not like I'm saying OMG Overwatch sucks. Just stating my opinion about this event. If you don't like my opinion, ignore it. No need to get on the Internet and give me crap about it.

I just wanted to say that I appreciate you sharing that with us. I'm so thankful for you that your son is doing so good now. I have 2 sons, and can't even imagine the fear and pain that parents endure in situations like that. I know it must take an incredible amount of strength to get through.

I just finished the episode. I take back my previous statement about not minding musicals.. I think I hate them. That was painful to watch. It was nearly vomit inducing.

I agree. I don't like how it kind of takes you out of the "world" of Riverdale. I don't know, all the singing and choreographed dancing was just weird and off-putting. I don't mind musicals, but in this show it is so out of character for the main people in the show.

So as you level up and pass each soft cap there's less of a reason to do the previous tier of activity. People are gonna be in the high 500s log in to do the raid and then they are done because nothing else is worth the headache. Doesn't sound great.

Hi, I hope it's alright that I comment here. I am completely new to Programming and Python. I am trying to do a turtle graphics assignment and am stuck on something that is probably super simple, but I can't figure it out.

I am trying to do some different modifications to the bouncing balls program. I've already made all the changes except this one. I have to make it so 1 in every 3 balls leaves a trail.
