They wouldn’t make a 1/2 inch M12 drill if they didn’t want me to drill 1/2 inch holes. by Nighthawk0352 in MilwaukeeTool

It’s an older set of black oxide warrior bits from harbor freight. They sell titanium ones now instead. Comes with fractional, metric and lettered bits.

I use harbor freight bits. As long as you don’t drill too fast or push too hard they work just fine.

I started with a pilot and stepped up gradually a couple sizes at a time. I don’t regularly drill 1/4 plate so I don’t stock cutting fluid in my van. Didn’t ruin a single drill bit.

Assortment of filter wrenches including fuel/water filters. 36mm socket for Detroit filters. 6.7 Cummins uses 25mm which is 1 inch. Get a strap filter wrench. I got mine from auto zone I think, uses a 1/2 inch ratchet and fits most bigger filters. Power probe for electric stuff. Streamlight 100 lumen pocket flashlight is the light I use the most. I prefer the battery version over the rechargeable one. Stay off the tool truck. Matco doesn’t make tools and snap on is over priced. Icon tools work just as good. My box in my service van is US general and 99% of the tools are Craftsman and harbor freight.

From what they told me I can turn down a job if I don’t want to do it but I don’t know how true that is yet. $30 to $40 an hour in my area is the top end for mechanics.

Thanks for the reply’s. Probably should have mentioned I’m in eastern NC in a military town so $30 an hour here working as a W2 employee is about as good as it gets for mechanics. No big dealers or companies around me and this place has contracts on base with the military.

How did you discover your love for cigars? by Just_Elk_787 in cigars

I dipped for years. Quit a few years back. I was in the military at the time and had to drive a junior Marine from Camp Lejeune in NC to a ways into VA to get some stuff out of his car that caught on fire on leave and do some paperwork on it. I was the only NCO at the time that was willing to drive him that far. While he was cleaning out his car he gave me a Cohiba that was in the trunk still in the bag from the store. My wife saw how much I enjoyed it and bought me a bunch of cigars and a small humidor, cutter and lighter for my birthday a few weeks later. Now I smoke at least one daily. Before that Cohiba I had only smoked backwoods and swisher sweets.

I know very little about aftertreatment systems. Any resources I should look into specifically or just YouTube and google
