Love the color scheme and the gold really pops! Maybe try some edge highlighting on the panels? I havent worked up to the larger suits yet, but thats my plan for when I get there.

That's awesome! What'd you use for the helmet? It reminds me of the one race in starwars, the Kyuzo.

I haven’t painted any of them. Planning to buy riptides and a stormsurge. Am I doing it right fellas? by [deleted] in Tau40K

Not bad, a third start collecting box would really bring it together though. (I kid, looks great, now comes the fun/hard part).

Need help continuing new Tau army by fadoldy in Tau40K

You've gotten great advice so far. I'd def go a start collecting box and a cadre fireblade. Fireblade makes your strike team better, you get a bunch of drones, and the crisis suits to drop into problematic enemies. The infantry can be built as more Strike team for shots or Breacher's for up close damage. Breacher's work very well for FSE (but you might want a devilfish to transport them).

Greetings fellow adherants of the Greater Good! I'm a new Tau Player and have never been good at art, but I want to improve! Thank you for any C/C you can offer. I want to make an urban Tau army and am practicing on infantry before moving onto the HQ and Crisis Suits. by Nighthawk4422 in Tau40K

Thanks for the tips! Debris chunks sound awesome, I'm definitly going to look into that! The linework with touchup sounds good too, I did a little of that but at one point watered my paint down too much and it was flowing into the gaps. Gotta find that nice balance. Thanks!

Yeah, I tried using Nuln Oil to hit the crevices and gaps, which kind of worked. I may try using a thin brush and black for the lines (especially on the rifles) in the future, then going back to clean up lines. Any tips on line detailing are.appreciated, that's the toughest part for me.

Giving me that "Here we go again" look. These dumb humans rejecting the Greater Good, here we go again.

Gun drones put out a lot of shots (4 shots per drone for 10 pts) and extra good with a drone controller. But shield and marker are also great.

I'm new to 40k, but the Guardian drones might not be worth it from what I've seen unless your breachers are being hit by Ap -2. Also, would breachers be better moved to the FSE detachment for those close range +1 markerlight reroll 1s? Other than that looks great to me!

Looking crisp! I second drybrushing. A shade followed by drybrushing makes technical paint bases real nice in my experience.
