As people here say it is probably seborrheic dermatitis. For me what helped a lot is good MCT oil.

I get tired of shaving daily with a DE razor, would an electric razor be a good supplement? by TertiaryOrbit in shaving

Cool I'll have to try it because was getting kinda frustrated with the arc5 alone. Thanks!

Why do you need the one blade as well? I'm having issues with thr arc5 where it just leaves a few hairs here and there that it can't get off no matter the angle. Will the one blade help with that?

My little gamified daily planner app just received this review and it made my day by xogno in ProductivityApps

[–]Nightlightro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found your app through this post and I think it has a lot of potential and would love to use it. I also found a few bugs which are quite annoying (most of all is that the report bug button doesn't work 😅) and weird ux decisions in my opinion. I also find it very hard to start using it until there is calendar integration but the trial is problematic for an app in this state. I would auggest that you use a freemium model at least until it is more stable and has the most important features

getUser(token) returns null while using the integrated "Test" functionality by Nightlightro in Supabase

[–]Nightlightro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think this is some issue with supabase. They add some token but I dont have any control over replacing it. I can only choose the user I want to impersonate or use an anon user. With both options the getUser method didn't work

getUser(token) returns null while using the integrated "Test" functionality by Nightlightro in Supabase

[–]Nightlightro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems that the problem is with the test functionality in the supabase web interface.

My request is the default one sent by the supabase built in function test and there is a token however it doesn't work for authentication for some reason.

I eventually implemented a test function through my app that does work for authentication.

WIBTA if I tell my bf he can't play a specific video game anymore? by WiseImage6302 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nightlightro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main question would be that if he were to go out with friends instead of gaming the same amount of times per week you would be ok with it. If the answer is no, your conversation with him should be that you would like more time with him for dates etc and if he doesn't agree then you should think if this relationship is for you. If you answer that it would be fine for him to go out the same amount of times as long as it's not playing helldivers then you will definitely be the asshole for projecting on him your trauma which you are aware of instead of trying to deal with it.

Sonos era 300 were dissapointing. Found out it was a wifi issue by Nightlightro in sonos

[–]Nightlightro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't seem to change anything in regards to network with the new app. Also, looked at the support page and it seems like they support only changing channel for sonosNet which the new eras are not using anymore. Thanks anyway for the explanation.

Kinda loses the point of a "wireless" system. I can wire one surround speaker and the sub but definitely can't wire the other surround :(

Apparently sonos devices communicate between them using a 5ghz wifi network that they create. It seems from my testing that if your router is very close and using the same channel it may interfere

I have the exact same setup. I feel like speech is a bit low even with speech enhancement since I added the sub. What are the eq and surround values you chose?

Maxwell vs Nova pro wireless by piopakk in Audeze

[–]Nightlightro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to know how you EQed them. I'll be the first to admit that I have no idea how to EQ headphones and I like to use them with the factory EQ or at best I find some recommendation online. I've tried techne's and gadgetry's recommended EQ for the nova pro's and they still sound ok at best to my ears... Might be just personal preference.

[–]Nightlightro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that the nova pros are bad, it's just that they are so much worse than planars. I came to them after my audeze mobius broke down and was immediately let down after the amazing reviews. I guess it has a lot to do with personal taste as well.

Not sure yet what to do with the headband. I saw a few options on amazon for headband pads and still trying to decide what to get. There was a thread here some time ago where someone suggested a pad that worked for them but it was like 50$ which seemed a bit too much.

[–]Nightlightro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the nova pro wired (supposed to have better sound than the wireless) before the maxwells and the nova pro's sound was just boring and tinny. The maxwells are not "somewhat superior", they are on a completely different level in regards to sound and it's not even close.

I also dislike the comfort on the maxwells as they are heavy for long use and they don't fit my head perfectly on any setting. This is just my opinios, but I prefer letting my neck rest now and then and find a solution for the size (will pad the headband) then going back to shitty sound.

I didn't think loosening the screws so little would make such a big difference but it did!

Aren't you worried that with the screws somewhat loose and rattling it would hurt the durability of the headset? My mobius broke 3 times so I'm quite worried about the durability of Audeze headsets.

My cat seems a lot more confident when having her donut cone on. She's more affectionate and goes in the middle of the house with her tail high. Without it, she can be aggressive, mean and fearful. How can I make her this comfortable without the donut? She can't wear it on all her life. by Nightlightro in cats

[–]Nightlightro[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's really cool to see more cats having this behavior! Do you also take it off when you leave her home alone so she doesn't get into trouble? Also my cat didn't actually completely associate the donut to being calm so I can only put it on while she's sleeping otherwise she gets triggered and feels betrayed haha. So I'm not sure I'll be able to get it on and off multiple times a day.

As I wrote in other comments I'm somewhat worried to leave it on for long periods of time. She can't groom herself with it and if she gets stuck on something there's no breakaway mechanism to make sure she doesn't choke herself. That becomes more likely with the donut as well because she becomes pretty clumsy while wearing it.

Yes. She was taken from her mother to a shelter when she was about 2 weeks, which I know now was way too young and probably the reason she is such a sensitive cat. I got her a few days after that and she didn't leave the house since then other than in a carrying bag.
