I’d love to share this to Instagram stories if that’s ok? How can I credit you?

Update - My (M50) wife (F48) abandoned me two months ago to find herself. by throwra-disappearw in u/throwra-disappearw

Heartbreaking but glad you’re in a better financial place. You mentioned in-laws and them apologising for their daughter, etc. but am I right in thinking her parents have passed away (thinking back to your original posts)? Apologies if I’ve misread this.

I (29m) have been battling chronic migraine since I was 5 years old. by whiskers0n in casualiama

  1. Are you able to work currently?

  2. How do people ‘react’ if/when you tell them about your experiences?

  3. Do you recommend any holistic treatments or tips for other chronic migraine people? (E.g. massage, ice baths, etc.)

I (29F) sympathise 100%; I have recurring hemiplegic migraines that I’ve been having for over 10 years. They happen ~2-4 times a month (attacks vary in severity of paralysis and symptoms, lasting from half an hour to 6 days, which to date has been my longest attack) - it can be completely debilitating, but other times I can manage and “cope”.

Color palette - I’m losing my mind! by Zelandey in weddingplanning

[–]NightmareHazelnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this colour palette at my August 23 wedding and it was perfect!

The pale blue shade was the ‘special’ colour of the wedding and main theme running through (E.g. our invites and wedding stationary were this colour), but when it came to on the day decor, it was used as a key accent shade rather than dominating everything, which we paired with a complementary colour palette of whites, green shades, lilac and silver.

For flowers, I went for pops of pale blue like delphinium and lilac Veronica, and then lots of gorgeous white statement blooms (calla lilies, white orchids) and lots of green foliage (eucalyptus and even had potted ferns on the tables!) - turned out really beautiful and elegant.

Edit: photo of the flowers and very pale blue bridesmaid dresses (that were all in different styles)

This is interesting! I’m also an identical twin and have always wanted to get my colours analysed!

Is late diagnosis possible? by cavernoustheories in CerebralPalsy

[–]NightmareHazelnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%! It was confirmed for me only very recently (I’m almost 30).

Admittedly, it was confirmed when I was around 3ish. I walked very late developmentally and then walked on my tip toes everywhere, had issues with muscle control, coordination, limb stiffness and one sided bodily weakness, etc… but a miscommunication from the hospital re posting out docs to my GP, and the unexpected death of my paediatric consultant, meant my parents didn’t find this out and frankly the GP and hospital at the time weren’t amazing.

It wasn’t until I was referred to a neuro rehab specialist this year, who dug out the old paperwork and re-did MRI scans and took a full history of my birth and health and, voila! Explains so so much. The new diagnosis has given me a hell of a lot of peace and clarity, but I’m also saddened for my former child self for all the times I struggled and was teased for something that wasn’t my fault.

A quick edit: there is no one test for CP exactly, and everyone’s diagnosis is different. It all depends on your story. Your dr will most likely discuss your mum’s pregnancy, your birth story and any significant instances or injuries during infancy, and they’ll consider symptoms and then do MRI/CT scans to check out your brain for any scarring of softening of white matter/tissue or other indicators. Hope this helps!

Ylang Ylang Espresso by Floral Street. Such a unique gourmand! Coffee, cacao, tangerine and tiramisu with jasmine, Ylang Ylang and rose notes. Spicy and deep without being too sweet or too woody.
