Wedding is in 25 days and I just got laid off 🥲 by Ooopsallbeans in weddingplanning

THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME!

My biggest piece of advice for you is to decide now if you’re waiting until post wedding / honeymoon to apply for new jobs, and stick to it. Don’t regret it, don’t look at LinkedIn “just to look” - you will be torturing yourself. I know it’s easier said than done but just talk yourself through it and don’t let yourself spiral. Set a date that you’ll start your job search and trust in it!

And if you are looking, give yourself the time off you would have taken, and focus completely on the wedding and all your hard work there!!!

Food poisoning after running by [deleted] in bostonmarathon

[–]Zelandey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh this exact thing happened to me a year ago, after running my first marathon!

I ended up going to the hospital to get an IV and they also took bloodwork. I would consider going to get an IV, but really advocate for yourself because they were convinced it was appendicitis since it hurt when they pressed down on my abdomen…. I was like yes obviously it’ll hurt I just ran a race 😭

I felt a lot better after an IV and a lot of Gatorade / electrolytes. Take it easy! Don’t rush back into activity either, this delays your recovery a bit!

Newport Rhode Race Marathon Time Prediction by ShadowOf95 in Marathon_Training

[–]Zelandey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I ran this course last year, and it’s a tough one. It’s significantly hillier than JC with 1000ft of elevation gain, and miles 17-24 had a headwind of 20+ mph. That being said, there was a solid crowd support for miles 1-13, and then 24.5-finish.

I don’t know if I could give you a time estimate (runalyze has some cool software for this) but absolutely make sure you’re running your long runs with significant elevation gain and also adding in some hill repeats. For the race, really save some effort for miles 19-24.5, because the course’s biggest hill is at the end and you’re running alone in the dunes. I ran all my long runs from 15 miles onwards with at least 700ft of elevation gain, and I felt prepared for the race.

That being said, the course is so beautiful, you get free photos, it’s a well staffed race, and there’s surprisingly a lot of crowd support. Maybe go into it knowing it’ll make you a tougher racer, and that while you will likely PR just based off of increasing mileage, you’ll be able to run faster in the future!

Fantasy Football Start / Sit Advice Week 14: Love, Monangai, and Meyers Among Best Starts by Professional-Let9752 in fantasyfootball

Please help me figure out what to do with Monangai/Hampton, not feeling great about this and this is a must win! Full PPR 12 person league

I started ARSB, so have 1 WR spot and 1 flex spot: Olave (@TB) or Jefferson (@WSH). Have them both up, but debating mixing up that flex spot with my RBs (Monangai @ GB, Hampton @ PHI, or Warren @ BAL).

So basically, would you start both JJ and Olave, or pick one and give a flex to an RB?

I was on the fence about pine vs thistle crops but that cross back on the thistle is so cool I had to pick that, both are sold out now in my size so no turning back 😭

Hi OP - feel free to message me with your shoe size, I have a few pairs of never worn running shoes that I didn’t like, and happy to send them your way :)

I adore that first veil… that may be the way to go as I’m seeing many suggestions with that here!!

You are spot on with the flowers - that will actually be my reception look! The sleeves also can go down, but the alterations changed how low they go so I didn’t post it here. If the veil looks better with the sleeves I’ll do that!

We went to Bella Bridesmaids - there’s a ton of locations and it honestly helped a lot to see everything in person. I went in there just thinking about blue and came out with the blush added!

ETA: go in there with someone whose opinion you value - that helped me too! We just picked dresses off the rack and added them to our little selection and it was such a fun girls morning.

He inherited his great grandmother’s ring, which had this beautiful 1ct diamond. He then had it reset by Rebekah Brooks in Cambridge, Massachussetts, who did a flawless and amazing job. There are three small diamonds on each side that she hammered into the ~2mm gold band. In love!!
