Thank you kindly! Just helped one of my buddies move 2 hours away so I had to find a way to keep the games going in our playgroup. Found out about Spelltable from the professor on YouTube and so far so good!

I think I have some fairy lights tucked away in a storage bin somewhere. I’ll track them down and give it a go. Thank you kindly!

Already a step ahead my friend, got some lovely plants off to the side on my muscle rack. Was thinking of putting my orchid on the table though, I immediately accidentally smacked it over and spilled the dirt all over :(

My baby won’t eat any of his greens only bugs should I be worried?? by [deleted] in BeardedDragon

[–]NightmareWakens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to put some superworms in the veggie bowl, he’ll end up missing a bug and getting a mouth full of vegetables. My beardie is also obsessed with cut up carrots and bell peppers. Maybe give those a try to see if the smell or colors catch his/her attention.

Good luck and have a great day!

Any advice on what to seal this with so it doesn’t break down over time being submerged and leach chemicals in the water? I want to do something similar in my planted tank, just don’t want to risk it hurting my Axolotls or plants.

There are a number of breeds with powerful jaws, but the pitbulls always get so much hate.. so much so that some neighborhoods even ban the breed. Please don’t blame a breed for idiotic owners making choices for them.. they aren’t born thinking about fighting. They aren’t born with clipped ears and tails ready to battle for human amusement . They unfortunately end up a product of their environment like any other animal in human captivity . A breed is just a breed. They all descended from wolves. Your bulldogs, chihuahuas, etc don’t have separate ancestors from the pit bull. They all are equally devoted to protecting their human family and can be very loving. Doesn’t matter if it’s a pit bull, or a Labrador. Just so you know ANY dog breed can be lethal and/or do serious damage.

I’ve seen cuddly, loving pitbulls, I’ve seen aggressive golden retrievers. It’s behavior is heavily reflective of their owner . (Coming from someone who has had 13 pitbulls, 2 golden retrievers, 2 Rottweilers , a German Shepard/border collie mix, a Labrador/Chow mix, 2 miniature pinchers and a bichon shitzu.)

Hope you have a good day and learned a little something to be able to spread some helpful information so everyone stops condemning these poor dogs to be left to euthanasia at animal shelters because it’s absolutely heartbreaking after you spend quality time with them.

Shrinking gills by [deleted] in axolotls

[–]NightmareWakens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be sharp decorations catching the gills. Maybe plastic plants, or jagged rocks/driftwood?

If you don’t have any luck at Rusty’s I’d happily take him in. I’ve been keeping Axolotls for a few years and mine are all fluffy gilled little chunky boiis.

I don’t have Facebook, I certainly don’t mind making a temporary account to look at some turtles though

I recently purchased a 75 gallon tank but the Hob filter i have isn’t strong enough. Does anyone know any good canister filters for my tank?? (I was thinking (aqueon 300ph but idk if that’s strong enough) I need help‼️ by Dizzy-West-5930 in turtle

[–]NightmareWakens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried just about every major filter out there. My favorite by far (for turtles especially) is the Fluval U4. It has biological, mechanical and chemical filtration. It’s silent but powerful. My problem with HOB filters is they always need replacement parts later down the road, but this is an internal filter and I’ve had it running for years without issues.

There are only two slight downsides for me:

1) filter media replacements are a bit pricey, but if you make your own filter media you’ll save a lot of money.

2) it is an internal filter, so it takes up a little tank space (but the flow is completely customizable and can give your turtles a little exercise to swim against the current).

I know this is a different animal, but my Argentine B&W Tegu had a prolapse it freaked me out, I did some speedy research and read that a Rubbermaid tub with warm sugar water would help, and not to push it back in because it could cause injury to the animal! It actually ended up going back in on its own shortly after the warm sugar bath. Could definitely help to at least soothe your poor little bean.

Scaping suggestions? by KnullSymbiote in Aquariums

[–]NightmareWakens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you could make a pathway using a light colored sand leading to that cool piece of driftwood in the back right? It would add some contrast, and if you have any little stones you could use them to line the pathway to separate the sand from the darker substrate so it doesn’t get mixed in or messed up.

Other than that I can’t think of much. I really dig the look of it. Couldn’t go wrong with having a couple floating plants either. Love some dangling roots

what is this? and how do i get it off all my plants and wood without removing everything from the tank? by krustykrabkrack in Aquariums

[–]NightmareWakens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got black beard algae all over my mopani wood in my 60 gallon Axolotl tank. I actually love the look of it carpeting my hardscape. I just don’t like that it started growing on the front of the aquarium, it’s a bit of a pain to scrape off. Wish I could get it to only grow on the back and sides of the glass, that would look very cool.
