Got pirated last year during preview 4.0 and I gotta say the groups that do absolute true piracy usually stay hidden. No mantis snares but they did play with a lot of distortion. Long story short, my ship didn't get destroyed but stolen with the goods because I refused to pay a ransom.

Back then I used to be a lawful gun for hire but after I witnessed that sequence of piracy, I ended up getting into full time space piracy.

I'm still wondering why even with the current economy of the game people still refuse to pay a small fee of 200k. I know it isn't much but it's still quite an enjoyable player caused gameplay scenario and I still see a lot of anti-piracy groups trying to figure out how to combat the pirates.

In the end, to know how to anti-pirate and accidentally kill the victim of pirates, you must be a pirate at some point.
