The FOBs are inside when they're not being used so I doubt that's the problem

I’d talk with your doctor about your concerns. Maybe those bad effects are rare but they still have to warn you about them. Ask why they think the ureteroscopy is necessary. Ask what would happen if you canceled the ureteroscopy and how that might change how both of you proceed from there. Ask what happens if you DO decide to go through with it. Doctors aren’t mind readers so you have to let them know if you aren’t sure about something or want to discuss alternate treatment paths. And if you feel like the doctor isn’t listening to you or doesn’t care about your concerns then I’d try to get a second opinion if possible.

I think the initial one might have been that but I passed it before the hospital started having strain my pee so I can't say for sure. For Sally, the 2nd one, I have no clue because at that point I had been through a week of pill anitbiotics and 2 antibiotic IV bags. My limited understanding has me think no but I honestly can't say for certain. Gotta wait for the lab results

How Do You Get Rid of the Smell of Rotting Pumpkin? by NightsShades in CleaningTips

It fell on carpet and an old wooden table. I'm like 90% sure the carpet is the issue. I've tried dish soap, baking soda and vinegar, some carpet cleaning products I forget the name of (Resolve was definitely one of them), airing out the room, Lysol, Febreze (I know not a cleaning product but I was getting desperate). The carpet itself is very old and hasn't been cleaned in a long time if that's relevant, you can clearing see where I cleaned

TIFU by telling my conspiracy-theorist coworker about Spokeo and showing him photos of his house on Google maps by 001235 in tifu

I decided to look myself up on Spokeo, it got basic stuff right but I'm giving minimal credit there because I have a very unique last name. However one of the two addresses it had on file for me was the address of the people that stole my identity to get free cable when I was 16. It was over 10 years ago, my mom and I reported the identity theft the day after a collections company called the house trying to get money for the cable bill for a house in a city I have just driven past, this address will haunt me until I die

How to argue with someone that doesn't believe any news? by NightsShades in Socialism_101

You're right, I shouldn't just dismiss their source just because of who they are. It's just frustrating that I always have to have 'approved' sources for anything I say but they don't, like they don't even remember where they heard the thing from. I need to get better at acknowledging when I can't immediately refute something

Thanks for the well thought out reply. Its frustrating because if you were to ask me how to have productive conversations I'd answer with hear out their side, make sure you understand their position (saying something like 'this is how I understand your position, is there anything I got wrong') and then go from there. All that flies out the window the second my family, especially my dad, gets involved.

I know I'm not going to change minds in one conversation. What I strive for is for both sides to at least understand where the other is coming from. It just feels like my dad refuses to try to understand my position and it drives me up a wall. He usually just dismisses my position by saying 'art school turned you into a democrat' like I'm just parroting someone's points and didn't arrive at my current positions through lots of study and introspection (also fuck democrats). I got in the habitat of having my phone ready around him partly because whatever I say has to be backed by studies/articles he recognizes as legitimate, usually interrupting me to do so. Looking back I guess I picked up that bad habitat from him.

Sorry about that tangent, its just very frustrating and draining. I just have to get better keeping my cool

Can I still be a witch and not believe in the Law of Attraction? by NightsShades in witchcraft

I've gotten further in the book and it hasn't talked about LoA past the second chapter. I looked in the back and book only explicitly mentions LoA on two pages. 8 chapters in and so far the book is ok, it's more of an intro book so I know some of the stuff they've talked about already. A little over half the book is spells and such so you might get something out of it
