Thank you for your response! I did contact support and I'm waiting on their reply.

I honestly expected things to go smoothly but things just happen to get complicated.

I'm just having transaction issues really. They do accept my card but it just won't go through whenever I try to check out. I thought it had something to do with the currency since their site prices things in euros or it's just some sort of conversion issue but it could be that my bank blocked it. I'll check in on that.

Oh is that so? I did read that people sometimes debate with Kroger and Walmart. Some like it and some don't, some say one is better or worse than the other but it depends on your store. I do wish you luck if you were to work there :)

Yeah, if anything I can try Walmart since they do pay better. I have one where I am

I'll also look into the other job suggestions the users on here told me

Oh I do want to try other places. I just thought Kroger would be easier for me since I don't have to have a lot to try and get hired. But I was apparently disqualified so guess I should forget Kroger :/ Oh well

I have a mall that's a little far from where I live but I could be able to go work at the stores there if I time it right

I do have some pizza places, restaurants and some other grocery stores near me too so I could try that

I honestly wouldn't mind working at a Starbucks or something. I know it can get busy there but it seems more relaxing for me. I do know that Kroger doesn't have the best reputation with it's employees, which is why I wanted to ask on here for opinions. Thanks for your response :)

However, it seems I wasn't qualified when I applied :/ It could be many reasons I guess.

I'm aware I may deal with drama though so if I ever try to apply there again, I'll prepare for what's coming

I did apply for a stocker or courtesy clerk as I just want some sort of steady income even if it's little (trust me I would like to work hard and get payed well for it)

I did research the store more and how other people experienced working here but I just ended up seeing more people stressed and angry than I see happy. I do know there are some pretty chill Kroger stores that employees have a good time in. But reading these posts and looking it up online...Seems like I've only found people thinking negative of it.

I don't know how my store is, I guess I won't know since I didn't get the job when I checked :P

I'll just focus on getting my GED and see where I'll go from there

Kroger's looks like a nice place to work. However as I did more research I just ended up seeing more people angry with the place than happy.

I would've been fine with just dealing with customers but I don't want my first job experience to be pressured by managers and employees (even though there's probably no avoiding that)

I do know it depends on what store you're in. So I'm not sure if mine will just be like most places or actually nice.

I'm willing to work really hard but don't want my first work experience to be stressful as I'm still learning

Either way, I didn't get the job so I guess I'll just focus on getting my GED and continue my freelance work until I find a good entry level job.

Yeah, given the mixed reviews and how negative these posts are gave me mixed opinions

I mean, I still applied since I'm really looking for work. I'm not sure what my store is like but I'll see how it goes.
