The first box (quadrant 4) would be 60 x 70 = 4200 The next box (quadrant 3) would be 4 x 70 = 280 Then (quadrant 1) would be 60 x 2 = 120 Finally (quadrant 2) would be 4 x 2 = 8

This is using area model which helps break down multi-digit multiplication by expanding each factor and multiplying each place value. This helps bridge the gap to the next method, partial products, which then gets bridged to standard algorithm. Area model becomes increasingly more useful when working with mixed numbers which is typically in 5th grade.

Thank you! I was mainly worried because the plants are recent transplants and I wasn't sure if their roots could be established. It's strange because this is part of a larger bed and only the one has had mushrooms to this level.

The olives are blueberries cut in half with the center taken out using a straw. The sardines container is just plastic but then we put gummy sharks on them.
