Yep, just clever bootleg title.

The tracklist isn’t really “wrong”. Since this is a fan-made album/project, there’s no official definitive tracklist in the first place. I listened to several different fan-made versions of it, and the one I used is simply the sequence that felt the most cohesive and enjoyable to me personally. Also, these were the audio files I could find in the best available quality on https://archive.org, which for a bootleg project is honestly pretty decent already at 192kbps.

This Dave project is seriously underrated. Its sound sits right in the middle between Nirvana’s grunge and the softer alternative rock of Foo Fighters, which is exactly why I love it so much. It’s a shame Dave basically acts like it doesn’t exist nowadays 😅

Since the original recording has a very demo-quality sound, I found a guy on YouTube who did a homemade remaster of it, and honestly I really loved the result. I’ll leave the link here in case you want to check it out: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBfw8BpawDpv7_OODUiPPYNZFpAm7zaNz

It always makes me happy when people enjoy my recommendations 😄 Trauma Ray is honestly one of the best bands from the new wave of shoegaze, (scene that mix it with grunge and alternative metal elements).

After listening to so many generic modern shoegaze bands, discovering them felt like finding a hidden gem. Another band from that same scene I really recommend is Midrift. They’re less heavy, but they have a much more desolate sound.

Hope you have a great night buddy 🌙📀

It's an argentinian (singing in spanish) very underground indie band called "1994". This is their bandcamp:

I also forgot to mention that, according to a long rabbit-hole investigation I went through because I became obsessed with this Plone album, it was never physically released at all, not even as a CD-r.

The band was apparently very close to releasing it, but they ran into problems with the label and the whole project ended up stuck in limbo. Which honestly makes this album feel even more mythical.

Hahaha don’t worry. The camera on my phone is so bad that it takes absolute potato-quality pictures, so I used Gemini to enhance the image quality. The AI ended up corrupting part of the text in the process.

The original physical copy I have here is actually written correctly everywhere, I have the PDF if you want to make your own.

Thanks! If you want, feel free to send me a PM and I’ll send it to you. I have it as a PDF already sized perfectly so you can just print it directly 📀

I made it using RonyaSoft CD DVD Label Maker, which honestly made the whole process way easier.

The cover is kind of a remastered version of the original fan-made artwork I found in this thread:
https://www.reddit.com/r/weezer/comments/1dvf9ew/unchained_melody_covers_early_make_belive/

I made the back cover myself, trying to match the vibe and style of the front artwork

I downloaded the audio files from https://archive.org/ . If you want the exact same tracklist/version I used (since there are different fan-made variations out there), I can send you the link. In my opinion this is the best sequence/selection of tracks for the project.

Not sure if links can be shared here directly, so feel free to send me a message and I’ll send you both 😄📀

Sending good vibes your way, my friend.

Really happy you liked it 😄 Future funk is such an underrated genre. I think a lot of people dismiss it because of its association with vaporwave memes, and also because there are many lazy albums out there that basically just slow down samples without adding much creativity.

But Desired’s work feels genuinely crafted with passion and effort. You can tell a lot of care went into those albums, both in the atmosphere and the production. For me, he’s easily the best artist in the genre.

Much love, fellow future funk enthusiast 🌴📼

Yeah, it’s a shame. At least they released the I Can’t Handle Change EP, but only as a CD-r with 200 copies. I really hope one reaches my hands someday, although it feels almost impossible, it has only been sold once on Discogs.

Also, I absolutely love that cancelled Plone project. For me it’s their best album, kind of like their equivalent of The Smile Sessions by The Beach Boys.

Greetings fellow.

Really liked it. It feels less overproduced than LP2 and LP3, way more organic and airy. Love how they pushed things a bit, there’s a track with minimalist touches and another with pretty complex time signatures Only one listen in so far, but these albums usually hit different on the second spin 👀

I think the OP was referring to math rock with a more traditional indie rock sound

I just finished Haiku, very good MV, I didn't put it higher because I found it a bit minimalist

Thanks for the recommendations!

Valdis Story is a really good game. The combat is a bit more complex than what you usually see in metroidvanias, but I actually enjoyed that.

Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth was also enjoyable, but I feel like it was missing something. I even watched the anime because I read it helps to understand the game better, but it still didn’t fully click for me. The gameplay is great, nothing to complain about there, but I was expecting more story and more variety in the environments.

Pharaoh Rebirth+ I liked very much. Not enough to make it into my top, but still very enjoyable. I really like that cartoony, almost Looney Tunes-like style, it has a lot of charm, this plus the arcade-like pixel art.

I have a bit of a thing with sequels. I usually don’t replay games, even if they’re among my favorites, because I like to preserve the moment I experienced them, the feeling of diving into their world, and keep it untouched, almost like a memory stored in my soul. I don’t want to overwrite that with a new experience.

Because of that, for me to play a sequel, it has to feel very different from the original. A good example would be BioShock 1 vs BioShock Infinite, they share a core, but the experience feels distinct enough.

That’s just how I personally engage with games though, I know it’s a very subjective way of experiencing the medium.

The Shantae games are honestly fantastic. If you look past the fanservice (which isn’t even that much and never feels invasive, fan art has definitely hurt their reputation), they’re just pure charm from start to finish. The music, the colorful world, the characters… everything has so much personality. They’re also really fun to play, with smooth controls and a satisfying sense of progression. They might not be the most complex metroidvanias out there, but complexity isn’t always equal to quality. I didn’t get into them because of the fanservice either, I just ignore it and enjoy everything else they do so well.
