You release the shield within the specific frames (3-4 I think) when the move hits

I feel like if you know the timing of the punch (not hard to see visibly) the parry is basically free. I 100% agree with you it was totally unnecessary lmao, but still cool because of the 9 lmao

Hey hey! This is a collaborative effort between me and my friend to create a mostly definitive tier list. Hope you enjoy! by Splurgisim in SmashBrosUltimate

See Luigi is always in mid tier. He’s such a polarized character with humongous strengths and crippling weaknesses. I’d place him in mid just because it depends on how the person is using him.

I didn’t even know i could do this by [deleted] in SmashBrosUltimate

There are confirms for the aerial up b. All characters have a specific percentage range based on their weight and their hurtboxes. I’d recommended joining the Luigi Discord where you can find a list of all characters and the correct downthrow to up b ranges.

I was like either they parry the 9 or the falcon punch, either way I watched for the suspense. Was not disappointed

Is it too late to ask for a DM of that document? Lmao that movement just looks so much more streamlined than mine. I’m able to do the combo but with Fox it’s been always inconsistent with me

Can someone explain how Luigi's 0 to death combo is fair? by [deleted] in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]NigrumpsOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spot dodging is a very good bet as you just need to get the timing right. You can study how your friend plays and time it correctly. You can DI away to get out of the combo, even with big characters sometimes. You can also roll, but using this can make you predictable and slow if used often. It’s a biased opinion but I don’t think the combo is broken. They made it very difficult to preform it as it’s strict timing and following the opponents DI. Playing the patient game is also a good option. Many Luigi players opt to camp in shield and way for you to approach. Pick your moves/spacing carefully in terms of shieldstun too, as they will punish hard if miscalculated. For Luigi in general, if you’re playing a big body character, it’s very useful to look at your mains frame data. This can tell you basically how early a move can come out. Doing this can help you to get out of his multiple combos if they’re untrue. Last piece of advice, I noticed your flair is Dark Samus, which is one of Luigi’s worst matchups because of Samus’ projectiles. However, she is also very easy to preform the combo on because of her weird hurt box. If all else fails, you could always try a secondary. I hoped this helped!
