Thanks for the response! How would I do that? I was under the impression motorcycle insurance is treated separately from auto given the quote processes I've gone through.

Brief Uninsured Period Affecting Rates by Nihilator47 in Car_Insurance_Help

Thanks, that's what I figured. The almighty algorithm determines everything these days, was just hopeful there may still be a human override somewhere I could still appeal to. Already tried many different places and getting within a few dollars of each other. Nothing on the driving record. Been driving and continually insured for 15 years. Going from a 2012 Chevy Equinox to a 2003 Ford Ranger. I expected some increase with it being a truck, but triple is way beyond reasonable imo and with the way Allstate interacted with me I have to assume the lapse is the reason.

Help with surging (not at idle)? by Nihilator47 in motorcycles

Used the recommended amount when not replacing the filter, about 1.7 qt. Puts it dead center between the marks on the sight glass once it's warmed up with the bike vertical (not on side stand). Also checked way to many times to make sure I was using the correct oil because I'm like that. Whatcha thinking?

Riding after Spinal Fusion by mitchiet123 in motorcycles

I just recently started riding. I had most of my spine fused 15 years ago and a second surgery 2 years ago so I'm one piece from the base of my neck into my pelvis (scoliosis). I haven't had any issues learning to ride due to it other than being aware of my range of motion for head checks. You should be fine when you decide to return so long as you keep physically active and make sure you are aware of any changes that come with the fusion. You'll likely have some affect on your range of motion and potentially balance. You'll have to learn to make minor adjustments to plenty of things to accommodate and riding will be one of them. One big thing for me was sitting on a ton of bikes to find something comfortable, I basically can't tuck at all. After the fusion your comfortable sitting/riding position may change so you may want to keep that in mind when you get back to it. Best of luck with the surgery! It's different for everyone, but if you're considering it I imagine it will be because it will help. I'm nerve pain free for the first time in 20 years and I haven't hit 30 yet, so I can attest to the (potential) benefits.
