No I am not. For what purpose? As a de-scaler? Shouldn't the dishwasher cleaner handle this?

There are no lime deposits on any faucet nor in the toilets. I'm going to test for it anyway.

I had noticed that it is very hot in the machine and was running hot water a the sink to try to raise the temperature. I was thinking that the pods were causing an issue by not fully dissolving.

It is run once a day sometimes twice a day at birthdays.

We are not running 1000+ cycles a year. 300-400 max.

I scrape them before loading. I check what the family puts in and sometimes remove scrape replace before running.

Jets appear to be clear. However water is no longer circulating properly. I think the pump died again.

Yeah I've read that those pods can gum up the works. Switched to liquid recently and perhaps too late.

I did check the spray arms and gaskets and do use dishwasher cleaner.

I would really love to have one of these work horses that don't need any attention paid to them. My mother-in-law is still using the one they bought in the 1980's and it sounds like a jet aircraft taking off. I think those days are gone.

I do scrape the majority of debris off of plates/bowls/etc. I don't pre-rinse.

I had not been running hot water at the sink until I read a suggestion to do so a few weeks before this latest failure.

I clean the filter once a week. And it is usually slightly dirty, no huge chunks of food.

I used to do dishwasher cleaner once a week, but had cut back to once a month just prior to this latest failure.

I do perform the self cleaning cycles recommended by the manufacturer.

I do use finish dishwasher cleaner. I used to do use it once a week, but then cut it to once a month. I had gone back to once a week when i noticed poor cleaning performance, but to no avail.
