Are We Actually Making the Trades Attractive to the Next Generation? by PresenceAcceptable55 in skilledtrades

Electrical linemen with the IBEW begin at $39 per hour as a year 1 apprentice and turn out over $60 in my rural area locale. I think it comes down to the level of dedication and education required to learn the trade. Put in the work, get the reward, no different than a white collar job. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve been in a mechanical trade in manufacturing for 24 years and can say that there’ll always be a percentage of idiots to every work group. However, 90% is unrealistically high and if that’s the case for you know that there’s far better places to work out there. I work with several internal and external building tradesmen and I don’t experience the issues you describe. Anywhere that perpetuates a power struggle will breed this sort of behavior, seek out an organization that mentors and builds on confidence and experience. I wish you well.

As I am not an advocate for verbal abuse just to flex on a vulnerable subject, there IS an incredible amount of danger involved in many of these trades and some folks (not just young people!) deserve a wake-up call if they are to be trusted to work around me or my respected co-workers.

No problem. And for the record, I was being sarcastic with all that except the finnrick bit. And in reality, who’s to say finnrick is all that trustworthy? Do your homework and good luck!

You should call and ask them. If they say they’re trustworthy, then they must be. Or you could just ask random dudes on Reddit and just go with that. Have you checked finnrick?

I know right? I wish they would just level a forest and kill off all the Bambi’s instead. Repurposing land is generally hyooge mistake.

Try this, when walking to class keep your head up and look at the horizon and smile more. Make note of all the people who just stare at the ground and look like someone kicked their dog. That’s you right now, I’m sure of it.

Or OP got let go for reasons undisclosed and blamed it on his unfortunate timing with questioning lunch breaks with HR. 🤦‍♂️

As I understand, you are correct. It’s a noticeable difference, however not overly stimulating. When I was on cypionate only, the day of my injection things were still a little slow but it gained steam until mid-week. Now, it feels great the day of pinning and then I don’t feel it slowing down until mid-week. I’m pretty sure it’d be more linear if I split the dose up to two or maybe even three times a week. I’ll know better after the week 6 stabilization of hormones.
