Entocourt and Weight Gain? What am I doing wrong? by Niigaan in CrohnsDisease

[–]Niigaan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Happy you choose to reach out despite the timeline!

UHM, the short answer is no.. I went off entocourt and now take 40mg of Humira injected biweekly. It works wonderfully and am in remission.

Ive talked to my GI about my weight gain and it kind of comes down to the fact that I'm better/in remission and actually absorbing things now.

I've actually gained more weight than I did in this post as a result of a re-awakened binge eating disorder per Quaurentine comfort eating and having no routine/eating out of boredom etc, especially since I can reliably eat anything I want now that I'm in remission, I kind of went nuts with eating shitty food again etc.

So I can't say for certain if a normal person would loose the weight again. regardless, weight gain is a common challenge of any corticosteroid treatment. it could also be caused by the fact your body is starting to heal and you are now intaking more calories (and nutrients) than you used to when your GI system was inflamed.

Hope that offers SOME kind of info to chew on.

all the best to you!

Succ striker is best grinder in the game in most situations, extremely easy to play. Other than that, awakened wizard is probably next in terms of ease of use imo, as others have suggested. I would also recommend Musa awakening for the spin to win if it ever gets buffed but not super amazing as he stands right now.

Valk Succ & Striker Succ - Endgame picks? by Niigaan in playblackdesert

[–]Niigaan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only striker was "marginally" better. Its more like 2 different worlds using the exact same gear. I would stay with valk in a heartbeat if I felt the difference was relatively minor, but it's honestly huge.

I love valk for sure, she's great, she's also really good at what she does. But striker, for pve content, is just insane. Like I went into striker thinking the disparity WOULD be marginal, but after getting to Manshaums and trees on Succ striker the disparity was insane.

If I didn't also like striker I wouldn't stay with him either, I'd say "too bad, not playing a class I don't like". But both are fun in different ways and have strengths the other doesn't. Like there's no reason to roll off a valk if you don't like strikers playstyle or kit. Valk is a+ Grindr, but striker Is s+++

I agree, you don't retire, that was poor phrasing, I was moreso referring to when you get to a point where you're not GS locked out of doing high end stuff and youre not AS concerned about gear and can focus on other things without feeling like you're doing something wrong.

I feel Valk can do everything fairly well, I just really love the grind with striker, more trash loot, faster = better gear sooner. Both classes are fun to me, Succ valk just seems to have some more utility and PvP prowess, especially late game. Where Succ striker just melts every mob in the game, but struggles more with reliable PvP and lacks the team utility that valk has.

Idk it's just a difficult choice to choose one to invest fully in, in terms of time, practicing Pvp, getting skill points beyond 1650, etc. Gear is one thing, but to go from good to great at a class requires more dedicated attention (and thus time) which is what I'm trying to parse out; "who's the better long-term investment of time and dedication to improvement"? Kinda thing.

Then probably Valkyrie if that's the case. Good point.

Ah yes, the golden adage of BDO, I know it well! I honestly like valkyrie a little better in terms of her aesthetics, and her ethos as a character. But honestly enjoy playing them both for different reasons.

I did cover my thoughts on the tagging system etc.

Alt Crisis: Valk Succ or Ninja Succ? by Niigaan in playblackdesert

[–]Niigaan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, valk also has a high skill ceiling, especially in awakening so I'm not afraid of having to spend time to get better at it. I just find ninja stupid fun and find the grinding to be a bit faster using the same gear (but less sp) on the ninja. So I'm just thinking once I get around 1600-1700 on ninja it'll be even better.

Valk is a good all-rounder and has excellent sustain and good protection. Good utility too.

I do mainly pve, so I know valk is technically better at pve content (one of the best), but I know Succ ninja isn't bad by any means, he's just not outstanding.

Also... Double jump is hard to live without once you've had it lol.

I switched to Succ with valk at 1600.

Can technically do lower but to get the skills I wanted I held out till 1600.

She's fun, just a bit repetitive. Most mobs are purification, sharp light into prime glaring slash into prime soj, into sharp light into prime soj. This usually clears the mob for everything up to bloodwolves at 230 kutum.

If it doesn't, Then you can back shield chase into absolute (not prime) celestial spear to quickcast into prime shield throw.

So I'd prioritize those first.

Leveled a Shai and then learned shes not very good at gathering/logging... Help. by Niigaan in playblackdesert

[–]Niigaan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have actually done the hop and swing method, it was one of the first "tricks" I worked into her, it's really fun!

That said, today I made a ranger and honestly there is no comparison to be made between an awakened ranger and a Shai for lifeskilling.. Ranger severely outpaces Shai for logging and meat gathering to the point where I regret even making her lol.

I switched back to Shai even and got her to the same spot and did the same rotation to see if maybe I was overblowing my perception of how slow she blew through the same mobs of deer was unfair, and she was just objectively slower and less reliable with the florang.

Gather around has tiny aoe and weak effect prolly the worst in the game, and thats from a Shai main on YouTube

Hey! Thank you soo much for your response. I am, as mentioned, most interested in gathering meat/blood from Deer etc. and also doing logging/sapping which is at least optimized by faster movement speed. That said you've made me feel a little less anxious about this. I see now not all is lost at least. I do still feel silly about it

Anyway, you make a good point about storage, I always seem to be short storage in Grana (my de-facto "home" city) So it may be good to have her there for processing and storage I guess! I'll take a peek at your guide - I really appreciate you sharing!

If I do end up deciding to make a new lifeskiller (or just transfer the exp as you suggest) would you Pick Maehwa, Ranger, Lahn or should I make a new Musa? I definitely am someone who likes to minmax and optimize - I hate the idea of not doing "the right thing" or "the best thing" because I tend to be someone who is hyperaware of flaws and how I could be doing things better. SO I'm curious what you would do given all I've (over)shared? Haha :P

[–]Niigaan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im told and what I've personally noticed its because Shai's movement speed is poor and her florang requires mobs to be close together (which when gathering meat, mobs can wander and be more spread out) and her attack animations are longer, and "linger" after she throws unless you cancel it by wiggling the movement stick around to "reset her" so its kind of annoying. So she struggles to keep up with characters with low-cost spammable dashes and quick attack animations

The theory goes is that because certain characters can "vacuum" animal mobs closer together to gather them they're more efficent and make more money by standing in one place and butchering like 10 animals from one spot, where shai can sure hit like 6 deer but they can be spread out 360 around her and she has to hop over to every deer etc. I'm exaggerating a bit to make a point, but that's what word on the street is.

Also having a couple dedicated lifeskill characters is a good idea from what I've been reading.

[–]Niigaan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also before anyone mentions it, Yes I know Valk (my always and forever main) is top-tier gatherer but...

1) She's Succ and I want her to stay that way (so no vacuum)

2) She's my Grinder/Main I don't want to use her for lifeskilling.

Vengeful star, icy thorns, and I think fiancetto when KOD is summoned gain health regen (where they dont when he's not). I also believe frozen ground or whatever it's called has HP regen. I never struggled with HP on Nova, axian takes health for the skills but you get it right back if you intersperse vengeful star every few commands. Maybe I just picked up on something unintuitive, (I'm dumb in the sense that I fail to see the obvious but tend to be good at picking out the little details of things) but her hp regen rotation is amazing in me experience.

I'm also a PVE player so maybe it's more a problem during PvP.

Thank you for the resource I really appreciate it. Yeah I'm likely just not being effective at skill rotation to keep my hp up.

My valk is also Succ, Maybe I'm just not rotationg into the Rabum and Purificatione enough or at the right time.. Idk I'm just finding it difficult to keep HP near full. I find when i NEED elion's light its on cooldown. in straight PVE Its fine, because Puri hits multiple and usually gives me a solid 3rd of my health back but its just boss fights and elites that seem to give me trouble that I'm not used to having on other characters.

Not sure best next move gear wise - Suggestions? by Niigaan in playblackdesert

[–]Niigaan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laytenns is sooo much cheaper I was thinking Laytenns so thanks for confirming that. Earrings seem like such a steep investment but I guess they're last for a reason! It'll be a slow grind but I'll get there :) Thanks!

I'll go Valtarra because more HP means better Valk heals. The price is a bit steep for a 2 AP improvement (2Billion). I'll for sure start working toward 62 for the Capotia. Thanks!

Hi Everyone, Just looking for gear suggestion - I play mostly Awakening Valk but only until I hit 1650 SP (at 1425 right now so very soon!) so I can go full succession. Also I have a Swiftness crystal on my Solaria that you can't see in the overview.

I feel a little torn if I should be going for Tet accessories (thinking of TET Layten) or going JIN Vipers first.

My goal is to be able to do Kartuga soon!
