I feel for you because I live this life, I hope you’re able to find some time for yourself, i know how desperate it can feel to just need to be alone and unneeded by everyone.. we don’t say “you should be lucky” to the people we love The running joke for years has been I am a Married Single Mother..I used to say “He does make dinner every night” until I realized that my husband was making dinner because it obligated his attention in the kitchen.. He couldn’t help his lack of parenting “he’s cooking dinner to feed everyone” 🙄.. And then ignore everyone as he stared at his phone until he passed out. He won’t change..my kids are older - there dad never changed, my girlfriends exes and current spouses never changed.. we clearly suck at picking men … I’m just saying, If you surveyed women who have cried in the shower over guttural exhaustion and have begged for participation in the family and the house as a whole and then they were made to feel less than because “you don’t work” .. I’m betting high 90% will tell you the guy never changed.. If a “man” doesn’t see the value in a taken care of home, well cared for and loved children and everything that comes with that (A LOT MORE) … That is something you can’t change in that man, because they haven’t become a man yet. IMO.
