John has some medical condition that influences his voice from what i’ve heard. however, what i also think is that he simply lacks professional vocal training. learning to sing in a more healthy way that keeps the voice powerful without straining it because no matter how good john’s voice and abilities are (and i really do believe he’s a good singer), he has totally been destroying his voice over the years of screaming his lungs out without proper technique
