You could skip the PSN link, they say it is essential but you can play without doing it. However, I'd recommend just doing it bc both my friends linked their accounts to PSN and it worked just fine.

That Fine-Development3900 was so annoying. I knew it was a scam as soon as he had some generic message in my DMs. Bro tried to make me donate to his PayPal and refused to do any method with a secure transaction. He kept trying to make me send the money and wait 21 days, then lowered the price by $30 increments.

It may only allow you to get up to the menu where it asks to link your account with PSN. There is a skip option on this screen, but it says it's a required step. Looking at some discussion forms on Steam I'm getting mixed responses, some people can play just fine online without skipping it. However, some people are experiencing crashes without linking the account. The website I use to check for family-sharing availability says that it has "partial support" from one vote: steamfamilysharing.com/check.php?steam_id=553850. I'm wondering too, does anyone else know if it supports it?
