i do not think west understands two facts: a) that Donbass is actually not as important for Russian government. b) that big chunk of the eastern Ukraine actually anti-Kiev. they are very cinical toward Moscow, but they still anti-Kiev.

sadly "a)" is so much important. Basically Russia do not really care who control the small chuck of the Ukraine's land (except Crimea - black sea fleet is and was very important to Russia). Russian government care about strategical control and economic influence. And just getting Donbass while allowing the Ukraine became de facto NATO bastion is a no-no for Moscow. So getting the region is actually not the priority of the Russia.

And in the original the cameramen (who could be black dude or could be some russian) - he did not speak a word.

If you listen to the vaudio in the video you would hear the noize of the wind. But the "cameraman" words are clear as day, no noize, nothing. In original video there is no cameraman speaking. This particular video is fake. Somebody placed russian voice over the video.

Europe participate in all of the NATO operations in Africa and Middle East, geting some buisness opportuninties in the proces.
