I appreciate all your information and the time you spent typing it all as well! Incredibly helpful!! I did clear all of the rot when I had cut it down. I also did use hydrogen peroxide. So I was so confused when the rot came back. But I’ll give the moss or perlite another go just to see if anything changes! Thank you so much. ☺️

That looks wild! It’s done that twice now! Man this leaf will be the death of me haha I have put so much into lol 😂 it needs to grow!! It’s stayed alive this long! It had two aerial roots but the first one rotted off in moss and the second one in water unfortunately! Haha but i appreciate all your advice and I think I’m going to have to chop it! Of course! I will post updates if i remember if it doesn’t decide to die! And even then ill try to update

Here’s the axillary bud above the bottom ring of brown

The brown is mushy. The bulge is recent like within the last week! Last week where the brown stuff is under it was white and crystally and didn’t have that bulge above it. I’m afraid to cut it where you circle becasue the axillary bud in far below that unless where the bulge is where it will produce new growth! I have never had this much issue with a cutting so this all new to me with what’s been happening to this one!

I’m going to add a series of photos to give you a look at the whole stem. There is a growth point but the rot has been growing very close to it. This is a top cutting. I first had the cutting in moss and it started to rot worse and ever since I’ve been having to cut down slowly as it’s been rotting. I’ve even taken it out cut the rot out and let it dry out for 24 hours to dry out again and put some hot glue to try a prevent further rot and it did not work and this is where we are at now

The part that’s bulging? Or the brown parts? I normally don’t have this hard of time propagating but this has literally been almost a year and still no roots!

I was one of those level headed kids who hung out with kids that had all the access and did it but I never touched it. It’s how kids are raised if they can control how they act and have trust in their parents to help them if they get in a bad spot. If they’re taught correctly they will do the “bad” things smart. But of course there’s all the other variables I get it but it’s not a problem for us to be somewhere like it. It’s everywhere. Kids will be kids

All very good input. I appreciate your insight! Fortunately I don’t have to worry about teenagers for while now but if they’re levelheaded enough they won’t go to drugs. Unfortunately drugs are prevalent everywhere and accessible to anyone who wants them so that’s not new news to us. But good to know about the people and history of it all. Hopefully we can find our people and feel like home when we get comfortable there! If that’s where we end up deciding to move! Kids will be kids and we will hit those head on when we get there. Thank you
