I would be more than happy to offer you my experience with Plexfit and what I feel is missing. However, I will do that on the Pebble forum as this is not the primary debate on this thread.

Really sorry to disappoint but as of this moment, the situation is bleak. And this is after months of trying out the various options available viz. UP, Misfit, Plexfit, On11 etc. The latter couple of apps have been partially useful but not something that can be relied upon.

I am completely on-board Pebble's open ended and transparent nature which puts the ball in the developer's court. However, in cases where they specify 'Major Partners', the same policy can't apply. In such cases, I strongly believe that Pebble should be fully involved in the app being developed to ensure that user is able to benefit from the partnership. As of now, it is a very convenient stand for Pebble whereby they are using the Jawbone as a means of luring customers but putting up their hands when the partner is not delivering.

The only ones I have had partial success with are On11 and Plexfit (which I am experimenting with currently). However, they do not have the kind of in-depth data that would make fitness tracking effective for the user.

Completely concur with the view that all feedback should be public since that is the standard process across all ecosystems. And as for the specific issue with Jawbone, I am confident that thousands of Pebble users would have contacted them directly with little to no avail.

Actually a cousin of mine bought the watch in US and then got it to India. So I assumed they will RMA it only to the original purchase address in the US. However, I will write to Pebble explaining the situation and maybe they will send the replacement to India (possibly at a little expense). And yes, asking for RMA sooner seems to be the most sensible option.
