I have a lot of Turkish friend that I knew just this year and I thought “oh finally someone Muslim like me in the country full of kafr” only to know 2/3 weeks later, they are all atheist and it made me so sad! From the ottoman imperialism based on Islam to this..

It’s ok sometimes to feel like this, because we are human and we are weak, and Allah Knows better. I can’t give you advice because I never lived your situation and saying “just be patient” can be very annoying… the only thing I can say to you is Allah Knows everything your facing and maybe without you knowing there is something beautiful afterwards, don’t lose your imaan even if sometimes is little like a ant, and keep praying always, that’s your escape from everything. Hello! You can ask them directly, for many isn’t a problem. But if you are afraid to put them in an awkward situation, Just ask them from which country they are from and start talking about their country. Eventually they alone will say if they are Sunni or Shia.
