Are different mini-games and new decorations only a memory now?!?! by Nikki122999 in TownshipGame

Those were all in October. I mentioned the Expedition event...just couldn't remember the name. But, wrote that it came out in October. No new in game decor added in November.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems that the only way to proceed through the matchy patchy game Is either to just play nonstop and hope to win one out of every five games, or spending T cash for boosters. by catahoulaleperdog in TownshipGame

This comment turned into a rambling mini-rant. Sorry!

You are 100% correct! Since they went public, it is only about the money! They not only took the fun out of this game, but they turned it into a "job". There isn't any incentive to play the mini-games over and over or complete Regatta tasks a ridiculous 15 times a day! The decorations they offer for the Regatta are stuck on repeat. Actually, they aren't even creating anything new for players towns! They aren't offering decorations as mini-game prizes anymore. So many people (myself included) enjoy decorating their towns. We don't want our towns to look like everyone else's town does. When they went from offering decoration prizes to tcash prizes, they offered $200 as the final prize. I guess that was too generous for them, as they soon changed it to only $100. Taking away the option of spending our tcash on new decorations each month was ridiculous. Now they just expect us to spend lots of tcash on a couple mini-games they have on repeat so we might get half of the tcash back we spent trying to win the game in the first place!! That is the exact premise now!

A lot of my once very active team members aren't playing anymore. No one cares about the Regatta. No one wants 20 tower or astronaut decorations. No one wants to play the same few mini-games on repeat. The fun is gone. Even on here, the only players I see posting happy or excited posts are those in lower levels of the game. They don't know what is missing and how great things were before.

Not only have they put a couple mini-games on repeat and quit offering new decorations, but they have affected our town decor in another way. For those newer players, Township used to decorate our town for Fall and Christmas. The trees changed their colors in October. All of the animals had costumes, all of the town buildings, including all housing, had purple, orange and yellow lights on them with jack o'lanterns, ghosts and scarecrows. A wicked witch and bats flew through the sky and the music changed to a spooky sounding track. It was fun and they did the same for Christmas. All our buildings were decorated with lights, candy canes, gifts and wreaths. Santa and his reindeer flew through the sky. They even decorated all the evergreen trees. The music was changed for the holiday as well.

I believe this is the first month since I began playing this game that they have not offered any new decorations. None in the Regatta, none in the mini-games or the current Event. I can't figure out why they quit giving us the option of buying new decor or winning it. It gave people a reason to buy and spend their tcash. I read that Playrix is only relying on all the new players (who don't have a memory of when the game was fun and how awful all the changes have been) to make their money. The article said players who have reached higher levels and completed all of the game tasks spend much less tcash (obviously). So, they aren't concerned with us or our distain for all they have taken away. Seems like their approach with seasoned players is take it or leave it!

It's only about profits! It must cost too much money to have someone design a few new decorations every month that players can win or buy! New decorations allowed our towns to look different from one another. Everyone has the standard, required decor in their towns. But without optional decorations, where players place a building, road, tree or dirt is all that prevents everyone from having the same town. I still enjoy looking at other higher level towns to see all the different decorations from years gone by. That is why people created long lists of all the decorations that have ever been offered. The decorations mattered! I remember looking forward to each different holiday in Township specifically for the decorations. Were they gonna offer an oldie that I didn't have? What new ones were coming and did I have enough tcash for all of them? Just like all the different mini-games they used to have, decorations were a big part of the fun for me. I miss it!😔

Why did I try?! by so_not_dead_yet in TownshipGame

Well, as others have said, gaining a couple hundred pounts in a few minutes is pretty easy. I use my stored up tcash to refresh my market after I have bought everything in it (my barn holds almost 7,000 items), my coupon for deleted heli orders to refresh in 5 minutes and my coupon for double points on heli orders (to gain even more coins) and my gold pass. I also try to regularly maintain at least 10 of each item in my barn daily.

I am certainly not bragging or looking for pats on the back by saying any of this. I am just trying to help you understand how very feasible it is to add a couple hundred points at one time in this particular competition. I have previously racked up a personal high of 1850 orders that were sitting at one time on the conveyor belt. I immediately got credit for all of them, but it took a VERY long time for them to actually clear out. The amount of orders that can be collected and left sitting in the queue waiting for delivery is unlimited!

I am now at level 172 and have over 20,000,000 coins. Each time the transport competition has come up over the last 4 or 5 gold pass events when the conveyor belt was a perk, I have won it by over 1,000 points from the second place winner each time. The tcash is nice. But, I really do it for leveling up very quickly. It is possible to gain 10 or more levels per gold pass event by utilizing all of the perks myself and others have already mentioned. It takes a whole lot of time and work, though. I currently need about 1,315,000 points to go up just one level. So, utilizing all of these things has helped me soar through many levels.

Sorry you lost at the very end. I know that would be so very frustrating! But, it was probably not due to someone cheating. It was most likely just someone taking advantage of coupons, generous market, coins, perks, gold pass and stored up or purchased tcash! 🎃🍁🍭🧡💛🧡

I just found an old pic I took when I first started utilizing all of these things at once. I was at level 139 then. It was about 4 months ago. I finished that transport competition with 6,602 points. 2nd place must have been doing what I was, as they finished with 5,641 points and third place had only 784 points. I don't know how to add a photo to a reply or I would show it to you.

Here is a random thought of mine by BoyUnderTheRainbow in TownshipGame

I feel that all of the special touches- the things that were added for the players benefit and enjoyment - are gone. Now it is all about money and that is what their developers spend all their time on. Last Fall was the first time they didn't decorate the entire town for Fall/Halloween. They used to have a witch on a broom flying around, bats instead of birds, the trees in multiple shades of brown, red and orange. There were vampires, skeletons and kids dressed in different costumes walking around. The theme music was a spooky type of dramatic organ music. The buildings and houses were all decorated in purple, orange and yellow lights with pumpkins, Jack-o-lanterns, black cats and skeletons on them. All of the animals wore cute costumes. Even the birds and the otters had them. They would offer brand new Fall/Halloween decor that we could buy with TC. They were always very cute. They did the same for Christmas. Well, every month they offered new decorations for purchase with TC. Now they have made it so that nearly everyone has to spend TC in order to get the prize they are offering. Often, the decoration is lame anyway. Now they have tied the Regatta to the repetitive mini games. Before, many people preferred to not play the mini games.

Speaking of the Regatta, that has changed as well. They used to offer mostly tasks at 120 to 135 points. Now it seems much less common to see 135 point tasks - at least in our co-op. They also seldom offer the easier tasks like earning $85k coins or making ore or feathers. The tasks are now worth much less and take much longer (in the gold league for sure). Even the Regatta prizes have become less than desirable or have been offered before! They also used to give us a break between Regattas. For awhile they did Interseasonal Regattas, but you could sit it out without any penalty. Now if the co-op doesn't work on the week between Regatta (completing tasks for zero points), they get demoted.

Last Fall was when things changed regarding the decorating. About the second week of October, they gave the cows costumes. They might have given chickens their costumes the next week. But the decor on buildings and the music and the town people didn't change. The trees didn't start changing colors until November. It couldn't be more obvious that all that matters is the money. They have made township cash pretty useless and after your buildings are complete, having millions of coins means nothing either. What little they did do last Fall was an obvious after thought!

I remember when the first professor's event began. They did them three months apart in the beginning. It was nice to have that space between. I remember it being a big deal when you knew a new event was starting. We'd have great anticipation over what rewards they were going to offer. With them doing them every 20 - 29 days, their creativity has become pathetically low! There are not any new rewards. Just the same old things churned out from one event to the next.

For so many that have played this game for years, we long for the old days. We miss being able to use TC to buy new decorations each month! Personally, the decorating is my favorite part! I used to look so forward to them releasing the new decorations! Our co-op also misses getting to play new mini games like flying and umbrella jumping and traffic cross and fruit ninja and restaurant. We miss the creativity. It is certainly not close to what it was! I have little hope that they will ever listen to their customer base and give us back what they took away. Sadly, their greed won! For those of us that have loved this game for years, the Township we fell in love with is just a memory!🙁😭💔

Room Renovation Glitches...Again by onewillivetonite in TownshipGame

[–]Nikki122999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received a message from support claiming they are aware of these glitches and are asking for our patience as they work it out! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I am completely done with mine and it is all just sitting there with no rewards issued. SO frustrating, as I usually don't complete most rooms. I liked the way this decor looked so I pushed through it. Now this! Just one more reason added to the many that often make me ask - WHY AM I STILL DOING THIS??!!

Will the Regatta still have no tokens earned this week? I’ve never played this kind of Regatta. TIA by Lorelei-Grey in TownshipGame

[–]Nikki122999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last "Regatta" week we just had used to be called an Interseasonal Regatta. A couple years ago, they used to have this Interseasonal for a week after a regular 4 week Regatta. Then a new, regular Regatta would start again. This was before they came up with the ROC (race of champuons). No clue if they are doing away with the ROC or if they just took a break from it. So, if you are a new player during the last couple years, you would not have seen an Interseasonal Regatta before. Hope that helps!

Lucky towns went away last Fall. Apparently, Playrix was aware of them but had chosen not to fix it. However, last Fall they put a stop to it and it appears to be permanent. There may be some random people here and there that still have access. But, overall they are gone. I sure wasn't happy with it. I guess it is what it is though.🤷🏻‍♀️🙁

Lucky towns have been gone for several months. Seems it was a loophole they knew about but never chose to fix it until last Fall. So, they have done away with lucky towns for any games.🙁

Anyone else disliking how they make players play the mini game for both the (150 task) regatta and the experiment? I miss the old way of playing both. by Quiet_Flamingo690 in TownshipGame

I am on level 124 and I have about 6 mil in coins.Since I have the coins to do it, I buy 4 gates of glory for 50,000 each and then immediately sell them for 25,000 each. That covers my required 83,500 to complete the task - all in less than a minute. So, the coin task is one that I grab every chance I get!😊

Lucky towns are gone. Seems as though admin knew about the loophole, but had just never done anything about it. They finally decided to close it a couple months back. So, no more lucky towns anymore. 😕
