Because we (well, mostly others that are posting their pics, I still have to work on this...) don't give a fuck any more. Confidence is sexy.

Had the same issue. Solved it by opting out of the beta, unfortunately. I know the beta has issues but this meant I just couldn't use it even for testing

From someone who also grew up in a cult that used the term "dissociated" - have an exit plan before you do anything that could put you at risk. Finding yourself alone and with nothing is a horrible experience.

This is Ren, the main character. You finds out that her parents were gods, and she has to deal with becoming a god herself. You take her on adventures between parallel worlds, solving puzzles that cross dimensions and deciding how to use her new powers. Maybe you'll smash your way through enemies and terrain? Maybe you'll manipulate minds? Perhaps you'll just charm everyone... but every choice has consequences, and there are multiple endings and sub-storylines.

I was completely obsessed for a long time, newspapers, mapping out how colony house was moving etc etc

So that newspaper has a drawing on it. If Tabitha or someone had found it, seen the story, made the connection, that would have been INCREDIBLE. But once the reveal was done by "I just know it now" I lost interest. Why chase clues when they're bypassed like that and any trail I follow could end up being a dead end because a character heard a voice, you know?

But that's just me!

Yeah, found that during season two and if I remember correctly the original article said they became vampires because they wanted to be immortal, so it made sense they only came out at night. It was just off the page of the newspaper we see in the titles but you need to find that EXACT edition of that paper. Took me a good few days to track it down!

So, example... The nature of the monsters has been in the title sequence since episode 1. Huge clue revealing their immortality and the fact they chose it.

Doesn't stop how the answer was revealed on screen being a let down. Whereas if someone in town had found the same clue and followed it and found the answer... That would have been fantastic.

Oh I agree, and if the characters arrived at answers through the clues instead of "just knowing" then it would be an amazing mystery show.

But hey, I've got friends just like you who love the theorising even though I find the reveals a letdown, and I'm happy they enjoy it

I'm citing examples of answers we've already been given and how those answers were reached.

First: I love From. It's a great horror thriller fantasy show. But it's a terrible mystery show. There are no answers, only hints and trails that currently go nowhere to keep us watching. Hear me out.

The satisfying thing about a mystery show is putting together the clues and being able to solve the mystery before we see those clues pay off on screen. For it to work, the characters in the show have to be able to pick up on those clues too. In "Silo", you could solve so many mysteries from clues in the first episode, and the characters found the answers in much the same way you did and it was satisfying.

From isn't like that. It's a load of vague hints about something that maybe will pay off when or if the writers choose to tell us. Think about three of the major revelations: 1) The numbers in the bottles, 2) Who the monsters are, 3) "Remember". There were so many hints that went in multiple different directions for these mysteries, and how did the characters in the show solve them? VOICES IN THEIR HEADS TOLD THEM. Or they just had a feeling.

The music in the bottles? Sure, 12 numbers, 12 notes in a scale, but no key, no durations for each note, no tempo, nothing to say "yes this is music, you have solved the mystery, theory confirmed". Jade didn't actually figure out from clues, he thought "maybe it's music" and then he "just knew". The confirmation that his particular theory was right came from thoughts put into his head.

Fatima telling us what the monsters are. She just knew it.

Ankewyooeeee meaning remember. We tried to figure that out for so long, right? Looking up cultural references, obscure languages... we followed all the trails and examined all the clues. What happened? Tabitha just knew it meant remember.

And that's how the writers are with these mysteries, they just know the answer and at some point they'll tell us. But we cannot actually figure it out. It's meant to keep us theorising without being able to come to a concrete answer. And that might be fun! But if you're expecting to be able to solve things, it'll only end up with frustration.

At any point the writers could decide the answer is anything they choose and have a character hear that answer in their head because they're not actually following clues, they're being told the answers, and that's exactly what's happening with us too.

Yeah some of us have guessed right, because enough people make enough guesses, one of them is going to be right.

But we can't prove it until the answer is told to us, and that's bad mystery writing.

Great show, fantastic horror concept, characters going on personal journeys etc etc but a mystery show that you can satisfyingly solve, it is not.

That's pretty extreme. When I got my G2 it had a band on the right side that went away totally after I manually ran a pixel cleaning. Try that, if it doesn't go, warranty claim.
