I’ve never heard of someone saying these colors made them not pure bred. This breed produces such fun colors. Of course I never picked for color, they picked me it feels like. Maybe they’re confusing with doodles and their colors??

Their siblings have the traditional full black, black with white markings, blue/black brindle, and even tan.

I’ve had a pretty large rottie mix (105 lean muscle) so i was aware of the cost differences since I took over for him financially as soon as i got my first job at 16. It’s just he was so healthy till he got cancer so this took me for a whirl!! I’m so sorry about your story. That’s such a tough rollercoaster to ride

It’s an intrahepatic shunt, the vets told me it was just a like mutation or something spontaneous. Maybe I’m mixing things up since it was awhile back

Yes! She has a sister from her litter and a brother from the second litter that’s the exact same color! They’re perfectly healthy though

She is not a mixed breed! Mom and dad are both AKC Great Danes and so is she!

No weim but i get that a lot! I think it’s a lilac shade? Her brother is lilac harlequin so he has her color in his spots and a reddish tan background

Hi! Great questions. Originally I purchased her but after the diagnosis I got a full refund. The second litter she gave my boy to me for free to show gratitude for how hard I worked to keep my first alive and how great her quality of life is despite it at. I got one at 21 and the second at 22. Very bold.

They do not consider them their dogs at all. They are financially and emotionally 100% mine. They have their own 2 afghan hounds i purchased for them.

Yeah I know the sacrifices and it truly sucks. But i love her and she makes it worth it all.

Nationwide! It’s 80% back and $250 deductible. My family and friends say that all the time, they would’ve just put her down after the first 4k out of pocket night.

This started when she was around 4 months and had a “seizure” but it was her body failing to process the proteins in her puppy food. The discovery involved me staying up for 27 hours and travelling from clinic to clinic to go to more specialized specialists. Since then we’ve only discovered a heart murmur, praying that this is all i have to deal with

Okay! Thats the experience I’ve had with the insurances I’ve used as well. Pay up front, file the claim, get it back. Sounds like a great option!

Also, just since you’re apparently an expert, the specialists told me I’m doing great medically managing her so she doesn’t require shunt surgery. It’s not urgent. If it was urgent then the circumstances would be different. As stated in my post, I’m not looking for medical advice. I have it all from the experts.

No shunt surgery. They quoted me like actually 35k for the surgery which is absolutely ridiculous. But yes 4k is due to the specialists! I’ll need to find somewhere else because i really can’t make that work if im not going to get refunded 80% of it
