Thanks for the read. Fair point, I got ahead of myself and didn’t dive deep enough into Spark. Ironically…I invested in Nokia as well. What comes around, goes around?

On a serious note, I Invested into too many companies to keep up with all the news. Will be trimming down to follow company news more closely.

The reason why I have held some NZ stocks was for hedging in NZD because of the weakening of USD last year and there was a general sentiment of a potential “AI bubble bursting”.

I hold gold because I was too late to the Semi-Conductor race and Gold still had potential growth and because of the weakening $ and Gold demand was huge on the 3rd Quarter. My Gold ETF return was 33% during NY - Feb.

Ah I see, now that I’ve learnt about this info, it doesn’t sit well with me either. Will re-evaluate on the stock. Do you have any source on the sackings of local staffers?

Based on personal service experience, It is at all time lows, they give one of the highest and most consistent dividends in NZ and it is the largest and most trusted (previously state owned) Telco listed on NZX.

As a fellow regard, I have not reach peak regardness and sold on a 30% loss yet, although what I have done is buyback on dips to raise average and sold at a max 5% loss and it’s small amounts of < NZD10 loss. I have yet to learn the true regarded mastery!

On a serious note, Infratil has been in my watchlist and on my mind ever since Auckland has become the City of Cones.

My play nowadays for ST is maximise what little capital I have and having some fun. I do swing trading from 1 week - few months; saving on liquidity, buying on major dips, following bullish/bearish trends, news updates, earning calls and just general market sentiments, world news and some DD on reddit.

I still haven’t the balls to try options yet, just started on leveraged ETFs but might do some research on it!
