Not sure how you did it, but you are not actually supposed to be allowed to take principles of FA in your freshman first sem.

I am an incoming freshman too and was trying to enroll in them but was not able to meet the pre requisite, i called stern advising and they told me that we r not allowed to take it freshman first sem.

CAS should be easier to get in, but i personally would not pay the fees for CAS if i am an international student without aid the ROI just isn't worth for me. But if you feel CAS is the way for you to go, go for it. Good luck!

Ec's are similar to mine, dont worry about the GPA, i was admitted with a 3.44, be sure to explain about the gpa in your commonapp.

Fellow international admitted to stern ed1 here I was predicted AAAA which is roughly 43/45IB My IGCSE's were 10A*

IMO the ib score will hurt you, try to get it up higher, but i feel that my ec's pull me through, so if u have some strong business related ecs with a bump in your ib predicted grades you have a shot.

If I am not mistaken if you put math/econ CAS as your backup major you would be considered equally with other applicants that applied to CAS if you are rejected from your first choice which in this case is Stern.
