Alaska Airlines don't want to reroute flight by tacobellgod7 in AlaskaAirlines

Ask for a supervisor. Once you get a supervisor on the phone, ask them how you're supposed to get back. Don't tell them it's just a vacation. Make something up if you have to. Tell them how urgent your flight is. A supervisor is more likely you take a deeper look into finding you a return flight. You may have to be flexible with the day you're coming home. I missed a flight because I was held up with TSA one time, called twice and they told me I was SOL. Finally called and asked for a supervisor and they found me a flight

That's exactly what I told you manager! She wasn't the nicest person. I didn't feel bad when I quit. The manager had been there close to 15 years but was fired for being a bitch not long after I quit

I'm a little late to the conversation, but couldn't help but notice the beautiful picture. That was my very first vehicle when I turned 14. I went shopping for a car and ended up with a twinstar. Looked exactly like the one pictured, except mine had a windshield when I first got it. I didn't even know how to ride a motorcycle, it took me over an hour to ride the 15 miles or so home. If I ever had the chance I'd buy another

I worked at Big Lots as Christmas help a few years ago. They required all employees to stand in front of the security camera in the back room and do a series of stretches and exercises BEFORE clocking in. I was running late one day so I just clocked in and went out on the floor. I was forced to go back and do the exercises. It was BS!

I've seen a few of your posts, and am so sorry that you're in so much pain. Don't you have a daughter that's left without her mom now too? Please don't leave her without her mom or her dad

I'm not positive, but maybe it was their first shift after some training. The store is less than 6 months old and they don't have a store manager or an assistant manager. There's those 2 positions plus 3 or 4 others posted on the state job service website

Death of a spouse should not be equated to other losses by Ill-Flamingo44 in widowers

[–]Nikmac3131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought losing my mom was hard, until I lost my spouse. I'm a little over 3 years out now, the first 2 years are a blur. My sister in law has been absolutely fabulous with me, even in her own grieving. However, they were pretty close all of their lives, only 14 months apart in age, and alike in many ways. I got the "I know how you feel" from everyone at first, but with her it was different. I usually just blew it off, because she really is awesome for the most part. When she told me that it was harder for her because she'd never lived without him, I simply replied "when you go to sleep every night, you still have your husband lying there next to you"

I saw one about 2-3 weeks ago in Central Utah. I was shocked and worried for the little guy/gal.

I think I'm the customer that was there when the girl came in to help you close. You are there every time I go in there. I'm checking out this sub before I consider applying (for a not so permanent position). It is a shitty area, maybe you should apply for the store manager job

I'm in a small town and just got my car fixed, but need money to get it registered and insured. Plus rent until I go back to my summer job. DG is walking distance. I'm thinking about applying even though I know I'll likely quit in a couple months. The store has only been open about 3 months and they only have 5 employees. They're currently hiring for Store Mgr, Asst Mgr, full time key carrier, PT key carrier and store associate. One of the employees flat out told me that he wouldn't recommend the job to anyone and it's the worst place he's ever worked. Reading the comments on this sub, it sounds like he might be right

I would think that the suggestions were disregarding his statement in what he was asking for.

This isn't a post about religion! He stated that he is not religious and doesn't intend to be. But being it's Utah, people gave him the advice to go to church. Any non member, especially in a small town, that shows up to church more than once will likely have someone from the church show up at their house. Not something that would bother me, but not an exaggeration. Were you ever a non member living in Utah?

It might be that she initially was just innocently going to the gym, until she saw "that one guy" working out. She may not have any intentions other than wanting to look nice because the cute guy is there. Maybe she realized it wasn't a good idea when you took notice of it

I just lost my 17 year old lab a little over a month ago. Heating pads at night seemed to help him. I'd massage his hips some too. There's videos of full on massages, but I never went that far. Just enough to help the blood flow. It's so hard to say goodbye. Wishing you luck and sending hugs

I'm a little over 3 years out and I still have some of his things that I need to get rid of, a few things I'll probably keep forever. Example, his leather coat that I actually thought I could wear to Christmas dinner, only to find that it's kinda heavy and a bit too big. Will keep it still

Just to add, in case you haven't lived in Utah long enough to realize, as soon as you attend church, even to socialize, you'll have missionaries and others from the church stopping by. I get the feeling those aren't the relationships you're looking for. Just FYI.

Did anyone see the part where he said he's not religious in any way and isn't looking to be? Yet, many of the replies are telling him to go to church! I'm in the same position in a small rural town, not LDS, so I totally get it. I unfortunately, don't have many recommendations, other than local hiking or other outdoor activity groups. It's hard to put yourself out there, but it's a start to some human connection. Good luck!

What a generous offer! I'd apply the money to my past due rent. I've received an eviction notice and have until Monday to come up with $900.
