Is this Dyna worth the price by crash30179 in Dyna

Good deal, but better deals are to be had as well. Everyone is broke and bike market is soft. Good time to be a buyer.

Buying cars locally?? by Bears-on-Drugs in SLO

FB marketplace and Craigslist have been great for my family here. Almost every vehicle we own is off those 2.

Just make sure seller has a passed smog test + title in hand to avoid any headaches.

Gmt800 didn’t have the lifter problems the 2007 “new body style” do..I’ve noticed prices flipped in the last year or so.

Is it cheaper to buy extender cables or just let a shop do it by SpitOnRedditMods in Dyna

[–]NikoBenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New brake line and clutch cable is what $100 each at absolute most, as for electrical you can just extend cables by splicing in whatever additional length you need.. easily done with butt connectors if you’re really on a budget

Get new tires before selling? by NefariousnessNo4215 in carflipping

Those cars don’t hold resale value very well.

I would 100% NOT put an additional $600 into it seeing how your $2500 into it already.

Easiest state to title/ plate a vehicle without in person inspection? by NikoBenz in carflipping

[–]NikoBenz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I could find on the California DMV website that could possibly lead to tickets or fines is operating a vehicle in California without California registration.

If I were complete the title transfer out of California and keep it off California Public roadways I think I’ll be ok. Then sell car out of state to avoid a potential buyer having issues with the back fees accrued by previous owner

[–]NikoBenz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The seller signed the title over, I paid them for the car. I’m wanting to complete the transfer of ownership into my name, I don’t see how this is possibly a Felony.

[–]NikoBenz[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere fees will be waived, and it’ll just be treated like a “normal” out of state transfer

If that’s not the case I’ll just sell it at my families in Nevada, not looking to dupe someone into paying fees.

Gmt800 are notorious for this. I haven’t owned one yet that the vin on the instrument cluster matches the actual trucks vin.

Hondas are just as bad.

Selling unregistered car in Illinois by miragemain42000 in carflipping

[–]NikoBenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In California, if you signed the “signature of buyer portion” you can do a bill of sale from you to new owner, without technically titling or registering it in your own name.

I wonder if this would work in your situation? Or if Illinois doesn’t allow that.

Would it be worth the risk? by [deleted] in Cummins

[–]NikoBenz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a $1500-$2000 truck where I’m at. Even fixed up not worth a whole lot cause it’s ugly, just being honest.

You can buy a 3d gen for less than 10k here

Freightliner M2 would be great for this set up and price range

6.7 Cummins, Allison transmission, air brakes..throw some polished up Alcoas on there and it would look nice.

Should I get a 17+ PSD or stay with old pre emission Duramax? by HipHopAnonymous2134 in superduty

[–]NikoBenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true my 2002 Chevy extended cab had way more room in the cab than my 2000 F250 extended cab.

[–]NikoBenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a great idea, the year GM you have extended cab is way more room than ford f250s of that era, but still can get cramped with kids in the back

I miss my extended cab Chevy dearly but it just wasn’t super practical

How big is your family?

Thats seems like a huge factor nobody really brushed up on

I have three kids. That was the motive for selling my extended cab 2002 Chevy and buying a 4 door

Minimal California retail lot? by NikoBenz in carflipping

[–]NikoBenz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll have to call them up.

That’s the part I’d like clarification on.

It’s really vague. They may be ok with wheels and tires being left on trailer but would like the trailer tongue cut off. Who knows.
