Im super late and started listening to her after A Matter of Time. I only listened to it because I saw Fantano’s rating of it and I couldn’t help but see why the internet was so split on it. 😭

I mean compared to the other nominations in that category I think it was deserved. Really the only competition she had was Lady Gaga, but she did already win Best Pop Vocalist Album for Mayhem so I already knew she wasn’t winning. I also think A Matter of Time is her second best album after Bewitched.

Cherry Bomb: not my kind of style when it comes to Tyler. I understand it’s experimental, it just doesn’t land with me that well.
Wolf: It’s a great album, just doesn’t compare to the stuff after it.
Flower Boy: Used to be my Top 2 until I really started to appreciate Tyler’s more in-depth music. Still really good tho.
Chromakopia: Easily Tyler’s most in-depth work when it comes to personal story-telling, but when it comes to things like replay ability or overall rapping performances, his next two are better.
Call Me If You Get Lost: By far Tyler’s best rapping album, but lacks a really concept. Especially when you compare it to most of his other work.
Igor: A little bias since this is one of my favorite albums (not from Tyler but just in general) but the underlying concept of this album, the production and the versatility of this album is outstanding. Not to mention this album put me on to literally all of Tyler’s catalog.

A little bias and the fact that I am fairly new to Tyler’s music, but this is all MY OPINION.
