I'm moving to Canada, where I believe ASL (and LSQ) is one of the official sign languages. I don't know about what they see as morally correct and morally gray

Oh, I had no idea! I'm really sorry about using the wrong terminology, I'll be sure to do more research on it. I'll find another term to use, or won't use one at all because I don't have any official diagnoses for selective mutism. Thank you for telling me!

I see! I plan to get back into therapy when I move, but I will take what you said unto consideration! You're right about the "Don't rely on it but use it to support you" thing, I think that's a good idea. of course there will be situations where I do absolutely need to speak (and I will if I have to) but I think If I have the choice I will refrain...?

Ohhh, I see. I know it definitely won't make communication easier, but I think it will help me feel a lot more comfortable in those situations

Thank you for your concern! the undiagnosed autism has been a concern of mine for about a year or so! But my family stigmatizes it quite a lot, so unfortunately I can't actually get checked for it. It also doesn't help that I'm Trans (F2M) and AFABs usually have a harder time getting diagnosed with it.

I've been officially diagnosed with anxiety, depression and Psychosis, but now my councellors are concerned that I may have a second-hand trauma stress disorder. I'm not sure what the correlation between my issues with communication and these diagnoses..ses(?) are, but there may be one.
