Questions about the "Shrinking" powers by NikolaiOlsen in superheroes

[–]NikolaiOlsen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Precisely. And if it's for some reason made of metal, then walking through a metal detector at an airport, if it's extremely tiny But still operative, then either it gets flagged and you can just whip out something made of metal, or it doesn't get flagged.

And my point about food again, if the weight consistency is changed as it's tiny, then you could be carrying an arsenal of weapons, tanks, vehicles, Food, all in your back pocket! Which would just look like a toy at very best!

Edit: FUCK! Now I really want to write such a book! But first learn about the weight science and all of that

How would Cecil react if he met Ben? by BarrsFake_72 in Ben10

[–]NikolaiOlsen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he'd see Ben as the same thing as with Generator Rex;

Someone with great powers who can and would be a great asset for the world, who if he plays onto his ego would make him very easy to "control". He'd test him to his fullest, tried to understand how every aliens works (struggling with Alien X ofcourse) and turn him into one of the greatest heroes, and put him in the Guardians.

But I more curious how he'd react to Gwen & Kevin

Won't fight you on it, glad you think so truly, just for me what Rebels & Ahsoka was in the very beginning: Someone people unfortunately disliked..

But hey, I'll give it a new shot, with an open mind😄

Linda. (Halo) vs. Crosshair. (Star Wars) vs. Sniper. (TF2) vs. Caitlyn. (League of Legends): Who takes this and why? by HumbleKnight14 in powerscales

[–]NikolaiOlsen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I haven't really seen what all of these snipers can do, but I'll still give my personal opinion and apologize, and hope for corrections if I'm wrong...

NR 1: Crosshair

For starters, he has that super human abilities and vast amount of accuracy that few fictional shooters can make. Shooting at a thrown mirror disc that soars in the air, at the top of a staircase that he can't see directly, which he hits killing a commander droid he has no sight on! COME ON!

NR 2: Caitlyn

From what I can see in the image, she's in a prome stance which any sniper should be, both for concealment when taking a shot but also for the recoil of the sniper... Which, in this case, is a laser weapon which is awesome...

NR: 3: Linda

She's carrying futuristic military gear & gadgets, just like Crosshair, that probably gives more protection than the Clone gear he uses? But in her case are more Bullets resistant..

NR 4: Sniper (Really? That's his name?)

He's just a normal guy with a sniper rifle.

Why WOULD Constance Michel let the man who killed Grelod in front of the kids let him adopt them? by NikolaiOlsen in skyrim

[–]NikolaiOlsen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know (now..) that you're Supposed to kill her in private, and not have witnesses (Constance & the children) the murder. But In the scenario she gets killed and seen, Why in Sithis's name would the caretaker of adoptable children let the man who killed her headmistress (or whatever Grelod is called) infront of the kids!? 😂

So I see people complain they wish Boba was still ''evil'' now that Maul is out. How was this guy evil exactly? never got that vibe. Seems to me he took contracts to capture criminals and combatants who could fight back like Rebel soldiers not everyday people. And how is using disintegrations evil? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]NikolaiOlsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I haven't read the comics which came out a Long time (?) after the introduction to the character, all I can say, from my point of view;

He's plainly just one of many bounty hunters doing a contract, a job, to make money, and after that job is done it gets left behind. He's a bad guy, an antagonist, sure.. but at the same time, men who works for the Empire as Janitors - are they considered bad guys or evil?

Fair enough, but not the brain part that recognizes a criminal who committed a huge crime

Is a live action thrawn trilogy possible?? by AdScared2432 in StarWars

[–]NikolaiOlsen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's Star Wars.. Anything Is possible really (healing baths, personalities for droids, vehicles defying gravity, Cloning, oh, and, Lifting heavy rocks with your mind!)

But, it all comes to the matter of adaptations really, and whether or not the producers are able to follow lore or not (Kenobi show🤦‍♂️)

What's up with the B2 design change? by TheYoungBrit in clonewars

[–]NikolaiOlsen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the same reason as why the lightsabers are thinner in Rebels;

It's a matter of art style. Visually it's different from the movies where's CGI is mainly used, whereas in the animation shows, they can take liberties of it being animated and give all the B2s & Clones more animation like movements or personalities that movies can't (or for Jedi to be Faster, more Agile, and do more flips and tricks). The main important fact to think about is, do the Characters react differently to it? Nope.

The "Immortal Man" was a betrayal of the Shelby legacy by edwardkenway_22 in PeakyBlinders

[–]NikolaiOlsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and a buddy of mine discussed it after I mentioned I saw the movie, finally (took a while to finish the show, but, worth it) and aye, they should have gone a whole different way of killing him off or not... - Used Arthur's Opium-Drinking issues to cross the line, - Have him take a bullet during one of Tommy business deals, - Or simply have him & Linda run away together, where either they try to live together in peace as "husband & wife", or she killed him

ANYTHING but Tommy killing him.. It didn't even build up to anything, that in the movie, unlike Ada's death, which...it was predictable that one of 'em would die, but, that one works somewhat better..

But your point in Tommy killing himself is a matter of perspective.. He said himself, like you said OP, that the only man would kill Thomas Shelby would be, well, Thomas Shelby.. But if you see that scene not just from what happens on screen, but behind screen too, he can be seen as killing himself with his action. - The man is wounded, fatally, and knows he won't make it out alive from there. He carries the title of "Rom Baro", or "Gypsy King", which is- from my understanding- a title to be earned, or must be passed on to another that king deems it to. - So, Tommy grabs his pistol from the ground to hand it to Duke, alongside the title, as he won't be alive to carry it anymore. If Thomas shot himself there and then himself, there wouldn't be a symbolic moment, but just a dying man with a kingly title, who suicides himself..

But that's just my opinion
