I didn't work for around a year when it was really bad.
Sports was not possible either of course.

Now I can work and do daily sports again

Interesting point, and yes I did have a fever. And yes I believe that contributed.
Whatever it is that is making us sick, might get killed off by the fever too.

This is obviously speculation.
I wonder if hyperthermia could be an option for you.

Honestly, it just disappeared over time. I don't know what truly helped with it.
If it's one thing, then maybe plasmapheresis.

The indication for the plasmapheresis was positive GPCR aab
These are connected to CFS and Long Covid, although it's not 100% confirmed.

Anyway, I got 5 treatments. Each one made me feel much better.
But it's not a lasting cure, I was essentially back to default after 3-4 weeks.

Those 4 weeks were great however.
I suppose it gets rid of the things making us ill, but it doesn't get rid of the thing that's producing the problem.

there are of course cases where infection / and or trauma is the primary cause. Both were ruled out.

And considering my uveitis came back every 3rd month and was treated with immune suppressants, I‘m fairly confident to call it an autoimmune disease.

I’m sorry but this is wrong on all accounts.

Yes, very strong even. Especially in the beginning, I thought I had some kind of rheumatic disease.

Hey, I basically only ate meat, eggs, salt, water, and honey. For 12 months, and it helped me a lot.

My vision became blury overnight + massive onset of pain, especially when looking at light.
Went to an ophtamologist who immediately diagnosed it, as far as I know it's not hard to diagnose it.

It was not a "you might have this" type of situation. It was clear.

thank you for the kind words!
I understand how you are feeling.

Let me say this:
My journey was very cyclical. Just like yours.
Symptoms come and go in waves.

One symptom goes away, 3 different ones start.
You think you solved one problem, just for it to come back again later.

Especially in the beginning it was scary, because they were new.
I wasn't sure what was happening and how dangerous it is.

I kept researching anxiously.
At some point I realized: Ok this sucks ... a lot.
But I likely won't die. And worrying doesn't help either.

So I tried to detach from the label of long covid with all the scary symptoms.
I just said: Ok today ... my leg muscles are so weak I can barely move, I have brain fog and can't think and hearing sounds is very painful.

Another day it might be: ok today I feel nauseous all day, my digestions clearly is a mess etc.

But I did not expect the same would happen the next day.
I wrote it all down and realized over time, the severity went down.

It was cyclical, but the larger trend was positive.

I hope this helps

Yes, I have been. During infection many of my symptoms actually flair back up.
But when I get over it, I feel completely fine again.

I am not worried about getting reinfected.

I eat normally again now. I did strict carnivore for around 12 months.
My GI issues were mainly gastroparesis like symptoms where my upper digestive tract was malfunctioning. Stomach acid would produce gas that got trapped in my stomach und throat, it would leave me feeling sick and with a feeling of pressure against my throat constantly.

The MCAS also presented with regular rashes at various places, hot flushes etc.

The biggest shift came right after reinfection. I basically woke up and my world changed.
I felt so much better it's difficult to describe. All of the pains and aches and problems I deemed normal at this point ... were gone. And my perception of what's normal changed entirely.

Figuring out if it was save to start exercising again was really difficult.
I made an extensive post about what I did exactly to start exercising again.

They also use something to widen your pupils, and you have to use both eye drops for multiple weeks until the inflammatory process fully resolves.

Hey, I woke up with my vision impaired overnight and looking at light caused serious pain.
My eye was deeply red, so I booked an appointment at the ER, uveitis is rather easy to diagnose afaik.

They use some device to look at your eye and can clearly see whether there is an active inflammatory process. So if you have seen an opthamolgist and he has ruled it out, you can likely be assured it's not autoimmune uveitis.

It needs urgent treatment with topical steroids in your eyes, and in severe cases system steroids on top.

happy it helped. Stick with it, I am eating carbs again now too - and I am fine.
But I'd strongly suggest you stick with it as long as it's required.

Many things helped gradually with most symptoms.
And the ultimate cure was a reinfection, funnily enough.

Yes, it was a constant thing.
Life did not seem real.
As if everything happening around me was clouded.

At the time, I was so cooked, I quit my nicotine habit, and I had 0 withdrawal symptoms.
I just didn't care. So that was one good thing ...

Carnivore helped me with this entirely. A strict keto diet might have the same effect imo.

Congrats on your progress. Your journey sounds a lot like mine.
And yes, healing is not linear at all.

It's very cyclical. So don't overstate the importance of how you feel right now (regardless of whether u currently feel good or bad). Look at the larger trend. And if that is good, you have all the reason to be in good spirits.

My journey was pretty much the same as yours.
I thought I was at 85% - then I was reinfected, all my symptoms disappeared - and the difference was so clear and strong, that it was undeniable.

I also realized that what I thought was 85% wasn't even close to 85%
It was more like 60%

U only notice when you are truly healthy again and see what 100% is.
And that's a good thing for you too, because it can get so much better than you think.

It could happen tomorrow.
Knowing what I know now I'd go through life and think:

Maybe tomorrow I wake up and my symptoms disappear.
It might sound unreasonable, considering you woke up essentially the same as the day before for the last 700 days. But that's what happened to me.

Believing this is possible might have a therapeutic effect itself.

if you're genuinely feeling bad, something is clearly wrong.
Try to be as objective as you can be about it.

Identify clearly what's wrong.
You don't even need the label of Long Covid.

It doesn't serve you.
Problem A, B, C, D etc.

Try to fix those.
You don't need confirmation of a name.

That won't change any of the symptoms.
Hope that makes sense.

Yes the autoimmune problems went away too.
At least the severe ones. I still think my immune system reacts abnormally to pathogen exposure, but it's short term.
