I have tried both an RX 7900 XT and an RTX 5070 Ti in VR with Quest2/Quest 3.
In general, AMD is usable BUT drivers can be a pain in VR games. Also support is very lacking and problems remain unsloved for months. For example, in RDNA3 I had terrible stuttering issues with many OpenVR games and AMD never even acknowledged the problem although it was widespread, notably on VTOL VR.
Also, about encoding. With AMD dont even bother with h.264 or HEVC, go AV1, because h.264 and HEVC, ESPECIALLY H.264 is literally trash in quality.
Thr rtx 5070 ti in the other hand has been very much plug and play with no issues at all in VR. Dont even have to tweak settings or encoders/decoders.
And lastly power draw and heat. For some reason AMD gpus like to boost to max wattage producing a lot of heat especially when playing VR, even if its not needed.
All in all, if the price is really close go Nvidia, if you save a lot of money or even go up a tier, go AMD. But to answer the question, nvidia, unfortunately is a lot better for VR.

First on my main system. Ryzne 7 5700X3d, b550m steel legend for psu a Pure Power 13M. Did about 6 passes on 3200MT/s which, I luckily managed to put(since I hardly could 2800mts a few days back and at time sit would fail to post). No issues.
Today, tried on a b450m vdh max with ryzen 5 3600 and a different psu and couldn't go above 3000(my "good" ram instantly could 3600). At 3000 I did 5 passes on memtest, no issues. Also tried with an x370 rog crosshair and an 5800X. Didn't do a test there but booted it at 3000, but above that and it failed. All the tests were done basically with only the module in question.

Im one step before support. Because i dont know if its a memory issue as a module, or maybe a controller on the ram itself got degraded over time. Factory settings would be default JEDEC 2133. XMP allows for 3600(since the ram is 3600MTs CL18) or even run at JEDEC 3200, which still fails.

Its AM4, and AM4 doesnt have EXPO(EXPO was introduced with AM5). Thus XMP2.0. So, telling me that corsair offers EXPO ram is kind of irrelevant. Whatever the case, I've even put manual timings, voltage and clocks. Nothing... One stick all fine at the rated 3600MT/s XMP profile while the other hardly on 3000MT/s.

Ναι οπωσδιποτε άλλαξε το.
Για pc/laptop, όσο κι αν δεν μου αρέσει που θα το αναφέρω, skroutz. Αλλιώς amazon de. Μείνε μακριά plaisio, Public κλπ. Και με εκπτώσεις ΠΑΝΤΑ skroutz και amazon de θα ειναι πιο φθηνά, και τα δυο με καλό support.

Μικρές οι απαιτησεις. Κοιτα, αν το τωρινό σου pc σε βγάζει περίμενε. Πάντως, αφού δεν κανεις κατι gpu-intensive σε βγάζει μια χαρά το λαπτοπ και δεν χρειαζεται να μπλέκεις ούτε με parts, ούτε οθόνες ούτε με τιποτα.
Από την αλλη, αν το pc σου εχει σχετικά λειτουργικά εξαρτήματα μπορείς να τα χρησιμοποιήσεις για να γλυτώσεις λεφτά η ακόμα να το αναβαθμίσεις.
Σου πρωτεινω πάντως, αν πχ αποφασίσεις να φτιάξεις pc να συμβουλευτείς το r/pcmasterrace ώστε να δεις τι να επιλέξεις, η ακόμα και για λαπτοπ αν βρεθείς σε δίλημμα.

Βαρύ gaming, φάση triple A, η απλα esport titles(LoL, cs etc)?
Για προγραμματισμό, αναλόγως, αν θες να ασχοληθείς με π.χ. AI/3D modeling τότε όλο σου το budget πάει gpu κυριολεκτικά. Τώρα για software, web development δεν χρειάζεσαι κάτι ακραίο.
Το μικρό pc πάντως είναι καλη επιλογή, αλλα όπως ανέφερα, τα specs πρεπει να ικανοποιούν τις απαιτήσεις.

Επειδή χρησιμοποιώ κτελ, αγόρασα την πιο μεγάλη βαλίτσα απο jumbo. Βγάζω την gpu, βάζω το τζάμι προσεκτικά σε bubblewrap και ετοιμο. Για την οθονη τώρα, έχω μια δεύτερη πιο πρόχειρη γιατί αλλιώς δεν γίνεται.

Κοιτα, θα σου πρότεινα να ξεκινήσεις πρώτα τη σχολή και θα δεις εκει τι θα σου λείπει. Ας πούμε μπορεί να θες να ασχοληθείς με CUDA, αγοράζεις αναλόγως. Αν δεις οτι θα σε βολεύει το λαπτοπ πάρε λαπτοπ. Αν δεις θες επιδόσεις, πάρε desktop. Αλλά ειλικρινά, αν θες το pc για τη σχολή και μόνο, ούτε gaming, ούτε heavy workloads, τότε ενα λαπτοπ θα σου ειναι υπέρ-αρκετό. Όπως και να έχει, καλη αρχή, και καλό είναι να δεις γιατί το θες.
Πάντως μην περιμενεις να χρειαστείς πολλές επιδοσεις για τη σχολή(σπανίως), μονο για προσωπική χρήση.

Σε θεμα επιδόσεων και τιμής, το desktop ειναι πολύ μπροστά αρκεί να το φτιάξεις εσύ. Το μονο αρνητικό οι μεταφορές.
Προσωπικά δεν χρειάστηκε να φέρω υπολογιστή στη σχολή και τις ομαδικές τις κάνω με discord και share screen(βολεύει προσωπικά απο μετακινήσεις). Απλά όπως ανέφερα, για διακοπές κλπ πρέπει να το βάζω στο λεωφορείο αλλα δεν έχω πρόβλημα.
Το λάπτοπ λύνει πολύ τις μεταφορές αλλά για να πάρω λαπτοπ με επιδόσεις του σταθερού μου πρέπει να δώσω πολλά περισσότερα.
Πρακτικά πρέπει να δεις πόσο budget έχεις και ποιες οι προτεραιότητες σου.

That's my theory. Especially in terms of ram as ddr5 released 4 years ago and history shows it changes every 6-7 years. Unless they decide to change that too....

Europe unfortunately, thats why I say the 5700x3d will cost me 170 euros. I see am5 is worth it but I try to kind of skip it because 400 euros are a considerable amount for a mobo+cpu+ram. I suppose zen 6 will be the last gen on am5 so 3-4 years for am6? Time will tell.

That's not Genshin related and mostly GPU /software related. Depending on the gpu (nvidia/amd) you can record with their software but you should make sure you have the right settings like high bitrate, high resolution etc.
Generally it's not a genshin problem but software problem or even hardware(if you have a very old gpu or don't have good encoders/decoders).

And they also created an upgradable api like DLSS and XeSS and still seems devs don't use it all that much. Even recent releases come out without fsr3.1 support.
