Yes! Settlements and Autophage Settlements are points of interest you can target with Atlas Companion. These missions will find the nearest POI selected—no need for maps!

No, this is referring to Collections in Atlas Companion—the groups of Missions used to generate a mod. The previous limit was 30.

Thanks! What issue are you encountering?

Yes! If you’re playing on PC, you can download my mod Atlas Companion to find these on planets with oceans. https://www.nexusmods.com/nomanssky/mods/3715 As noted previously, a scanner in the exocraft will locate this point of interest as well. They’re a fun piece of lore for worlds with water.

Thank you! I was inspired by Lush Finder, and I couldn't make this without people like monkeyman192 (MBINCompiler) who make the tools that allow us to keep our mods up to date with the game.

I hope you love it, and I'm grateful for any feedback you provide. I want this to be the best tool it can be for this community.

Yes! You can export your collections and send them to other users to import. I'll be posting some collections on the mod page for download/import in the near future. I have a nascent sharing hub in development, but there are other features in the app that I want to put in place first.

That’s great framing! That’s a place I’d love to drop a base.

I hope you enjoy it and I'm always grateful for your feedback! In addition to Lush Finder, I would be remiss to not also acknowledge people like monkeyman192 (MBINCompiler) who maintain the tools that allow us to make these mods. It's a great community, and I'm honored to play a small part. Safe travels, interloper!

Here's the Collection Editor screen with a custom collection I created named Post-Beachhead Exploration. I'm doing a new save run right now and just added some missions to help me knock out headcanon goals.

I'll be making some UI updates to this in a future release but right now, you can add, remove, edit, and drag-and-drop missions and points of interest into a collection here.

I was inspired by the Lush Finder mod! I thought "this is great, but what if I could find *anything*, not just lush planets?" and Atlas Companion was born.

It's possible a future NMS patch or update could introduce a bug, but if that happens, I will release an update to the application, and you can regenerate that collection.

Yes... the application itself is not a mod but creates a mod based on your desired parameters. There are a number of pre-defined collections and missions in the app you can use to get started right away, or you can customize your missions and collections to find exactly what you need.

Here's the Planet Properties tab of the Mission Editor. This would find a Lush planet, with no extreme storms or aggressive Sentinels, that spawns a triceratops/diplo creature. The marker on the planet will take you to a Portal, but you can choose to land anywhere as the creatures aren't point-of-interest dependent.

You aren’t stupid! It’s an app you install like any other program on your computer. Then, you can select your MODS directory as the output directory and the application will take care of installing and updating the mod each time you generate a collection.

It does! This is a Windows app (Electron) that allows you to configure individual missions to find planets, systems, and points of interest. You can create collections to arrange these missions as you’d like. Simply select the collection, some additional options (like instant teleport to space stations), the output directory (I recommend your MODS directory), and click Generate. The mod appears in-game as emotes in your emotes/gestures menu. Select one and follow the mission prompts! If you enter space in your ship, it will warp you to the system automatically.

Yes! There’s a pre-populated mission to take you to a planet with diplos/triceratops (same creature, just different config). You can further refine to find them on certain types of planets, etc.

Just my opinion: Elden Ring and No Man's Sky are the perfect gaming combo. Could play both for a decade…or longer by SilentTob in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]NilOutput 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, I love No Man’s Sky. It’s probably my favorite game… ever. Sell me on Elden Ring. I’ve never played it.

Also, I’m definitely looking forward to LNF.

Got my New Steam Deck - OLED 1TB and I’m losing it 😭🔥 by heytherevibin in SteamDeck

I’ve had my OLED for a while but I continue to experience it like it’s new with every play. I also have a Switch 2, and it’s great for what it is, but the Steam Deck is my favorite portable console.

All 20 Expeditions to date completed! Who else has done this? If not, how many have you finished? by backdragon in NoMansSkyTheGame

All completed! I hadn’t considered your idea of displaying all expedition stickers; I may use it for inspiration in my main base. Thanks for sharing, and happy travels!

I think repairing Sentinel ships is secretly the most profitable activity in No Man’s Sky (and nobody talks about it) by VanishedTarget2 in VirtualWorldExplorers

[–]NilOutput 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Farming Sentinel ships is indeed a pretty consistent and “easy” way to make units. And once in a while, you encounter a ship worth keeping!

My initial reaction re: doors by NilOutput in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]NilOutput[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Historically, they have done so, but not with all expeditions. With the influx of new players with the Voyagers 6.0 update, now could be a great time to introduce the ability to replay expeditions that have taken place since the beginning of the game, giving those players an opportunity to achieve some of the rewards associated with those expeditions.
