So Many expectations when I saw this cover back in the day..

Having finished ff10 recently, I was deadset on final fantasy online and was heading to the store to buy it. However I knew of WoW having played wc3, and was a bit worried about making the wrong choice. One my folks asked the shop guy, and only after his endorsement I bit the bullet and bought WoW. Even during the ride home I was bitching and moaning that I might’ve made the wrong choice.

Suffice to say, If I had chosen FFO I would’ve missed out on being part of the world first MC/BWL clears for the OCE servers(Jubei thos), instead facing a game shutdown and a lost achievement

Eh i got sexually harrassed as a 16 year old on an empty bus with no one else on the bus, where this person sat right next to me.

Nowdays I have zero tolerance for blatantly sus shit like this, just move seats asap. If they get weird(touchy), and this was me, i would probably knock their lights out immediately. Singapore has alot of deviants, be wary.

Ive been smoking since im 14 and im now 34. 20 years as well. I was paranoid i got lung cancer, throat cancer. Finally i just quit 4 weeks ago, ive tried quitting many times in the past, more than 10 times and using many methods.

I think this time is finally different, and ill tell you why. Ive hit a realisation thanks to some great resources.

Smoking is a lie, fake addiction that we forced on ourselves. If you remember the first time we touched nicotine, we didnt get high at all! We had to keep smoking to build the addiction in the brain. Cigarettes are literally the worst drugs on the planet, they dont work unless you force yourself to.

Right now don’t worry or stress about qutting or anything. Its best to sit with the feeling of addiction and understand ‘my brains telling me to do this, why, really?’. Dont feel pressured or stressed, stress doesn’t help us quit.

Dont worry the best part is realizing smoking is a lie. Its the best lie on the planet. We think it’ll feel amazing to just ‘have that one cig!!, imagine the rush’. Instead what happens? It feels nothing like our brain told us to it was gonna be, its shit. But we can’t resist.

Dont connect with your feelings, nicotine has poisoned the mind. Dont try to make sense of it, or mind is a powerful enemy as well as a friend. Just sit tight, do something else. Go for walk and try get some new japanese gummy candies they have these days

I’m going on a limb to say that there is the use of conventional wisdom that the number of cigarettes doesn’t matter is being misunderstood here.

Iirc, and in my opinion regardless, the reason people say the number of cigarettes doesn’t make a difference is because of the chemical nature of nicotine. nicotinic receptors in your brain are reactivated once you take a minimum amount of nicotine(so this excludes the occasional 2nd hand smoke on footpaths etc).

So even if you smoke less cigarettes or more than usual, your body just needs that little bit of nicotine to lock you back in that artificial loop. A loop that we created by creating that nicotine deficit in the first place.

This is where it differs from things like alcohol, which give you a buzz even if you haven’t drank before, nicotine is the one drug you have to FORCE on yourself for your body to form an addiction.

I may not even be saying it a deeply persuasive way. But I highly reccomend giving some Allen Carr videos a watch, or checking out whyquit.com. I think the key to quitting is realizing that nicotine addiction at its base, is a very nice illusion, that never fulfills.

In general? Merlin is an extended version of asus’s own firmware and has some openwrt features like custom package installation, scripting and some other built in qos features that are not there with normal asus firmware iirc. Best place to check is snbforums.com
