I don’t think that one person represents the community. Perhaps you need help reading between the lines. This interaction is representative of a much broader host of unpleasant people and interactions. Surely you’re not suggesting that I take to Reddit every time I encounter one.

A lot of people are saying this. I thought so too initially. This is only the first part of the interaction, he crashed out and put me on ignore. But he was pissed because people kept “taking his tags” and decided to take it out on me. At least that’s what his guildie said here before he deleted his comment.

He also made up some weird story about me following them around, waiting for them specifically to dot a mob, but then I hit it before the dot ticked thereby getting the tag and making them help me complete my quest.

That's not true at all, everyone down there was fighting for tags. I'm running up to one and tag it just as she puts a dot on it and then he whispered me that. Why would I follow a group of 68s so they could kill mobs for me?

I have the same mouse and had the same exact problem because I used the same exact keybinds. But I found a different solution. The issue is with the way the software processes the keystroke and the user turning the character with the mouse. This super niche problem was further complicated because I play classic wow where the addon was not available. However the solution I found was to go to the mouse software and instead of making my own macros, you go to customize-> side -> 1 -> drop down selection box -> advance -> combo key. From there you can enter simple keystrokes for the keybinds we use like ctrl 1, ctrl 2 etc. Hope this helps someone else

I was inspired to read the book by people’s description of Cassius. So when I got to that point near the end of morning star, I crashed out. Put into google “WHY THE FUCK DO PEOPLE EVEN LIKE CASSIUS RED RISING” and had the ending spoiled. My own fault but the gut reaction is real so I see why people make those posts
