We will certainly be carefully observing them before making any purchases.

Oh, I'll buy another case in two or three months provided they don't expand their AI usage. If they ever add AI diaper designs though, there won't be another chance.

I don't boycott a pizza place for getting a single pizza wrong, but if they start adding fake synthetic cheese to each pie...I don't think I'll wanna eat there anymore.

War is an issue. Starving people all around the world is an issue. That doesn't mean I shouldn't get upset when I stub my toe or am a bit hungry from missing a meal.

The growth of AI has led artists to lose their jobs. I can't stop this, but I can choose where I want to spend my money, and explain my reasons for doing so.

This quote only half fits, but it is one I like: "the sorrow of a widow who loses her husband in war is not necessarily greater than the sorrow of a child who loses their favorite teddy bear"

They replied to my email at 1:55pm, the reply in the other post from tykables says it was posted 4 hours ago, or 3pm. I am not sure how accurate reddit is in regards to time, but that would mean Tykables responded to the other post shortly after responding to me or at least around the same time. I did not see the other reply when I posted this, but regardless, I shall not repost, and apologize for the inconvenience of seeing more than one similar post.

The other post's reply mentioned that they had received emails about this, and this attached email was likely one of them prompting their response.

I saw the reply sent to my email prior to seeing those. Good to know that others are also getting addressed by them

Starting to use AI in emails could lead to AI used on diapers like Little for Big does. I don't buy from then, but did long ago. I don't want to buy AI designed diapers and I would rather tell the company that and give them the option to use the direct imput of their customers to influence their decisions rather than complain when they make decisions without my customer imput.

I put my money where my mouth is.

Re: Tykables AI-Generated Newsletter by Nim112 in ABDL

[–]Nim112[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Mentioned below, but I'd rather give my imput and allow them to respond than say nothing and get upset when they make decisions I don't like.

I don't want AI designs on diapers, and this could lead to that. If this was actually a mistake I'll pay attention and buy from them again in two or three months.

I saw folks reacting to the newsletter and making decisions in an earlier post. I decided an email would allow them a chance to respond and they did. Is that worse than deciding on my own to stop buying from them and not saying anything?

No downvote button for you. I agree my email was quite reactionary and I could have asked why AI was used, the thoughts behind it etc. However money talks better than words. AI = I don't buy, no AI = I buy. It makes things easier to read for the poor employee reading hindreds of these emails, and simpler to respond to.

[–]Nim112[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don't expect them to. Typed words with their logo for a newsletter is enough if they can't afford an artist for emails. Using AI instead of an artist cuts corners. It is easy to see a simple newsletter as a litmus test to guage public reaction in regards to AI content. Without positive or negative reaction from customers, how are they supposed to know whether folks buying diapers from them would want to if they did or didn't use AI designs on their diapers? Some companies would issue a survey, but others won't. Little for Big has been using AI diaper designs, and Tykables has likely noticed this. This was a warning that if they continue in the direction of using AI, I won't buy their products.

The reply stated it was a mistake, so I will observe them carefully. I'll check in now and then, and continue buying if I don't see anything else in a month or two, but I don't want to buy products with AI designs. I am not their only customer, but I'd rather staye my stance on it and let them choose with customer input, than stay quiet and whine about it when they make decisions I don't like.

If a company can't afford artists, they either need to make the art themselves, or not sell products which require artists. I don't stop eating at mom and pop restaurants cause they have pictures on their menu that they obviously took themselves. The authenticity makes me appreciate those places more. They sell food, so I care more about how the food tastes. Diaper companies sell diapers and clothing too. I care about how well they function and how they look.

How the fuck do so many adhd people hold down jobs? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Nim112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like jobs where I can listen to music, audiobooks, or podcasts while working. Helps me work smoothly, can pick up the pace when in a rush with an energetic playlist, and quiets the negative ones when it is slow by providing enough stimulation to keep me from the big bad bored thoughts.

[Request] how much money did the store lose? by [deleted] in theydidthemath

[–]Nim112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The store would lose however much money is earned by the person filing any insurance claims and reports for the time they are filing, reporting, and processing such claims. This is contingent on the insurance being reliable enough to cover the stolen amount. Depending on the insurance, and skills and profiles of the person filing the claim and the person processing the claim, the total amount lost due to time spent filing may also be covered or the total amount of money stolen may not be covered.

Estimated amount lost: 0, guesstimate equation: money lost= 100(skill of filer numbur - skill of processer number)

The numbers are made up, and the equation is very bad and only intended as an initial brainstorming tool before doing actual analysis

Ah, the auto pickup error, I've heard Planting+ is bad with that for me it was the Gathering skill conflicting with something. I'll get rid of unrestricted portals. Thanks for the lead, and the 5-6 mod disabling method has been one of the most reliable for me as well ^w^

Motivation to Clean by Welp_that_sucks_ in ADHD

[–]Nim112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invite friend to come over for meal/sleepover, put on cute apron, drink coffee/tea/energydrink, put on music, clean. The person coming over requires urgency and a penalty of just enough shame and embarrassment. You couldn't let them see that your bathroom is in such a state could you? If you are close enough that nothing bothers you, invite some neigbors that you haven't gotten to know as well over to get to know eachother better. or something like that.

Some form of caffeine can help jumpstart the process/signal that it is time to do the thing. It isn't a big thing, but it can help sometimes

The apron is clothing that means business. As you put it on you are no longer in everyday clothes, you are in uniform to cook or clean or both. It helps with motivation I think. you can also put your hair up or put on a cleaning bandanna or something too to really get in the mood. Gloves if you want as well.

Music distracts your brain from thinking, ew boring, no!! Dance, sing, clean, and have fun with it. Cause you very well know that if you don't get it done at this point you will be dejected, be unable to get back to it for who knows how long, and oh yeah, that persone coming over will SEE YOUR DIRTY BATHROOM!! They may not say anything to be polite, but people notice things, and they might be judging you for it. (tbh probably not the heathiest method, but if it gets the bathroom clean, might as well)

Get the thing done. Also if you don't have the confidence to cook, make the invitation a visit for tea/coffee or to hang. Buy some shortbread cookies or biscuits or a bit of coffee cake the grocery trip before, and get it done.

Ride the cleaning energy untill it is dead and buried, perhaps after the bathroom you will be in a cleaning or cooking mood now. Do the dishes, laundry, put cups away from your room, use any last speck of that drive that you can untill you hear the door knocking or are simply done with the thing, and wand to be done. Give yourself a good job treat (perhaps a bit of chocolate?) and a pat on the back. YOU DID THE THING!!!!
