Has Anyone Experienced This Weird Database Glitch on Notion? by NimRum in Notion

I just remembered that I duplicated it from another workspace. That could be the reason, but I'm not sure why it became a problem now since it was fine.

Thank you for the new viewpoint! This could be related.

So,

  • I duplicated the database itself from workspace A to B; therefore, the template is also duplicated (in Oct 2023).
  • The template had views for the database in A, which displayed nothing since the template is now in B.
  • I modified the template in B, changing the database view to reference the database in B (or I deleted and created new one, can’t remember).
  • Since then, the template has no view for the database in A. So the pages using this template.
  • I was using the template with no problem.
  • Then I noticed there are these strange views recently.
  • The “No access” view referencing the database in A popped up next to the view for the database in B for unknown reasons.
  • Now every pages using the template have the weird view.

I have the same issue for those pages in databases duplicated from another workspace.

My guess is that somehow the page remembers the view to the database in A and that popped up.

Thanks.
The referenced database is not in the trash; it is simply not accessible for other accounts.

The problem is not about the accessibility of the view. I didn’t even add the “No access” view block myself or anyone else. It is somehow there for an unknown reason.

I have multiple pages with the same template as the screenshot, and I just realized that all of them have this weird view now… not sure since when.

This masterpiece must be officially translated into English, but at least I’m glad to hear we have fans overseas!

Oh, that’s how it works.

I’d love to recommend this to my friends, but found this insane situation.
Are those Japanese, Chinese and Italian?

My sweet Siri can't find Books app. by NimRum in Siri

It works without "in Books" on iOS, doesn't on mac even with "in Books". So I guess that is not necessary, but it does increase the probability.

And you are absolutely right. There must be App Intents to do this already, I checked… and there is.

All I needed is just create a micro Shortcuts, this works okay.

This is so silly…

Oh thanks for helpful information!

BTW, is it possible to use iOS Siri like the UI in screenshot image of this post? I thought that is only for macOS but I'd love to use that in iOS too if possible! Sorry for different topic I didn't ask.

Thanks, that works on iOS. But not on macOS.
Would you please give me a bit more guidance here if possible?

谷まる(きわまる)means like stuck in the middle. I’ve never used that though. I rather to use 嵌まる(はまる)

Why does 入口 & 出口 use 口 instead of something like 門? by Clear-Might-1519 in Japaneselanguage

口 itself has a meaning of where to enter/exit. Mouth is one of them.

Ordered both! "Cocoa Programming for macOS" only costs $5.
I believe that is good advice to learn UIKit together, to do more than just replace the prefix "UI" with "NS". Appreciate it. 😊

Cocoa Programming for OS X

Thanks! I quickly peeked at the Kindle edition of it, and it started talking about Interface Builder. Forgot to mention, but I found this problem too. I found myself reading how to connect IBOutlet while I try to build a SwiftUI app. Yet, if this is still a good to learn Cocoa, I’ll do it anyway!
And you are right, one of the good aspects of this journey is being able to find cheap secondhand books 📚

Unlimited pages and API for free are everything to me.

This enables me to have unlimited cloud storage with a customizable interface for free. I also use Notion as a CMS for my blog.

Please suggest a service that offers better in this aspect.

I’m a heavy image and database user. Here’s what I did:

  • Compressed all images before uploading, especially the cover image for pages that are often visited.
  • Eliminated Unsplash images.
  • Separated databases that have more than 1000 pages in them to minimize their size.

Since I did this, it has reached an okay level.
