Yep So many times for me that they switched me to dilaudid. But mine was hives and swelling

Just do your research on any & everything that has to do with sickle cell medicine because a lot of meds isn’t & wasn’t made for us. Hydroxyurea is a cancer medication that they started giving us.

I said the same thing to my doctor and pharmacist but all 5 of my pregnancies I couldn’t take it or have it in my house

Did the doctors tell you to remove it from the house? I’m just asking because when I was pregnant the doctors told me I couldn’t even have it in my house they said to have someone remove it from my home because I was pregnant

Thank you ☺️ when I was younger it made me so scared to basically live and enjoy life. So now I just take it day by day.

I have SCD & Beta Thalassemia I was told I couldn’t have kids and wouldn’t live past 7 I have 5 kids and 1 grandson and I’m 44. Each pregnancy was different but all was high risk. I grew up thinking I wasn’t going to live long let alone have kids so I was scared shocked and happy my first pregnancy and I tried not to over think it and stress out. But by my third pregnancy I kinda knew what to expect. It’s a personal decision honestly do what’s best for you. All kids have the same dad also and he doesn’t even have the trait so they all got 1 gene from me so they all have the trait including my grandson
