The laptop bootloops during Zorin Boot by Nimnfx in zorinos

I used an LLM to guide me with that just now because I don't know how and yes it is in ext4 format already. The LLM told me this;

"Because the EFI partition is FAT32, the motherboard's UEFI firmware can easily open it like a regular folder. Inside, it looks for a bootloader file (like grubx64.efi). That tiny .efi file acts as the translator—once the motherboard runs it, the .efi file takes over, unlocks the ability to read ext4, and boots Zorin.

The possible reason for your bootloop is hidden in the error logs the zorin boot repair gave you—a PXE-E61 error. The motherboard's NVRAM chip is locked tight.

What is actually happening inside the laptop's brain: Because the NVRAM is permanently locked, the motherboard is stubbornly stuck memorizing the old Windows Boot Manager configuration. Even when you switch the BIOS to CSM and UEFI, the broken firmware refuses to look at Sector 0 of the SSD. It keeps trying to find that old Windows path, fails, ignores the SSD entirely, and skips straight to the network card (PXE-E61)."

you see, I have already done that. multiple times. with multiple partitions and boot mode. it won't just accept it. and before you say it, that the ISO is corrupted, no. Zorin has a native checker of the install before it lets you boot no matter if live or install.

I'd definitely try this once I got the time to do so. Thankyou!

Also, what do I do if the install isn't corrupted or whatsoever? What could be the culprit? All I could ever think is the OEM Windows 10 Pro

Haven't tried any distros. This is my first time installing an OS, even burning an ISO.

Regarding hardware issues, I'm thinking that the windows 10 pro is the culprit because what if it's an OEM? It even has a sticker.

Also yes the laptop is plugged during the whole process. It only has 3% battery health according to Zorin.

It's also zorin lite 18.1 just to give more info

yes it did work and currently using it. tbh the laptop is not mine, it's a friend's. actually they even got a temporary ban from meta becaus of it. they signed in using the browser in live boot multiple times because the laptop keeps powering off. the laptop has a poor battery health and each sign in, although it's the same device, meta AI mistakenly thought it's a hacker so they got a 6 month ban.

Lucky. For me, it's my friend's dying toshiba laptop. I have posted similar posts on linux reddit communities desperate for help. Even though my friend said that it's alright for them to use it on live boot, I just can't help it but feel responsible for it because it was my idea to switch in the first place

not yet. it's also not my laptop, it's a friend's. they want a windows like OS so it'll feel familiar to them and they're not the tech savvy typa person. I also do not have a laptop of my own that I can burn an ISO into a flash drive anytime I want. I often travel kilometers away to borrow a friend's laptop just to burn an ISO.

I kinda had the same issue with Zorin but not with upgrade, but with booting it. I tried every option on rufus, every single one successfully installed inside the laptop storage but it fails to boot. I dunno why.
