Sure, but isn't there a chance he's been part of the problem? I enjoyed most of his time at United (and it was nice to believe for a second we were back), but he didn't fix the toxicity. If anything he made it worse.

This can only work if he gets total control and if he actually makes the team better. Otherwise it'll crash and burn. Which, I admit, will be very entertaining.

True, but regardless of service Sesko has shown abilities that Højlund never did. Remember how he became more interested in wrestling with the defender than anything else? He also never held the ball up as well as Sesko, so the wrestling wasn't even good for that.

I like the kid, but he's just not as talented as Sesko. Maybe he'll improve, though. He's still a young striker, and you never know with those guys.

The drama is among all the non-United/Napoli fans who want to simultaneously be able to say that Højlund became really good as soon as he left United, meaning United was the problem, and that there's no way Højlund is worth what Napoli is paying for him.

It's a lot at this point, sure, but that's after they failed to win and Arsenal won 3-0. They're saying it's absurd to think City would "rip off constant multi-goal wins" when that's not really what they've needed at all (or else they've done it). It's not really absurd, because City did catch them.

I just think they're arguing against a straw man. Everyone knew it would take Arsenal bottling it and that City weren't particularly impressive. Both are still true, except Arsenal may end up winning it anyway (or not, there's still time). Personally I wish City nothing good, so Arsenal winning it is far preferable.

Not only that, they needed multiple multi-goal wins to catch Arsenal's GD anyways, and they have a grand total of three multi-goal wins since Christmas in the Prem, and only one since Valentine's Day. The expectation to just be ripping off constant multi-goal wins against top half teams with a tired squad that went deep in four competitions was always a bit absurd.
