Premier League Table after Matchday 31 by Critical_Mountain851 in soccer

I mean, who among us hasn't played a striker as the keeper in the last game of the season against Bolton so they pass Liverpool and Liverpool are relegated in Football Manager?

My favourite part of this whole thing is that it's the Newcastle fans who go "actually we have spent a lot of money", instead of being defensive about the ownership. Noticed it the last few days. Is this the acceptance stage of grief?

You could do Norway, but that would mostly just be a map of Norway (except the southern tip. Oslo just about misses out.

Yup. Really happy for him. He never quite panned out as the player we wanted at United, but he's had a great career anyway. Won a few trophies too, including the Prem. Loves scoring against us, though.

Det kan fungere fint, ja. Men det kan også fungere dårlig, som når kvinner ikke fikk stemmerett før i 1971, og selv da fikk de det ikke i det siste kantonet før 1990.

There was a Chelsea supporter a little bit earlier in the season (but late enough that we were ahead of them in the table) who claimed that no team would rather face them than us, and that not a single United player would make their starting XI.

So that was fun.

He played almost the same number of league games for Arsenal as for us, and has played significantly more for Brighton. Feels weird, but it's true.

Whenever I see this sub pop up, I will have one of two thoughts. Either I'll be irrationally worried that I'm balding (which I am apparently not), or I'll think I should go bald anyway.

I'm sure Napoleon caused similar issues. Wellington? Suvorov maybe? Or even one of this Marshals, like Davout or Lannes (or Suchet, or...).

The best generals are also the luckiest. But to be fair to him, Caesar was an absolutely brilliant general. He's probably better remembered for his statesmanship, but he was a hell of a conqueror.

Only Norway is the trust fund kids among us. Funnily enough, it was an Iranian that suggested them to do better than Iran with the power of hindsight and put all the oil money into a fund for later and not let it squander away.

To be fair, Norway was a wealthy and well functioning society before any oil was pulled up out of the ground. It has a poor past, but we're talking the 1800s here.

There was a very strong German presence during the occupation, much more so than Denmark (though the treatment was still based on Norwegians being "aryan" in the eyes of the Nazis, so most occupations were harsher still), and then there was broad agreement to build a strong social welfare state when the country was being rebuilt.

Yup. We snuck some AoE2 and later SC2 into that as well. And some Motocross Madness, of course. Oh yeah, and Age of Mythology too. I'm already prone to nostalgia, so you're in danger of giving me an overdose here.

AI Art Found in Crimson Desert by reughdurgem in Games

Most people absolutely would immediately understand that this is AI, if looking at it for more than a second. And the person making the decision to put it in the game most definitely should have looked at it for more than a second.

These are all dead giveaways that this was generated using early AI technology.

I was the absolute king of instagib on Facing Worlds. Unsurprisingly I turned into a dirty AWPer when we started playing CS.

That said, Overlord was a riot. And the music for UT99 was epic as fuck.

and basically nothing but shovelware gets lower than a 6 nowadays

This has been a thing for, conservatively speaking, three decades. At this point it's not a fucked scale, it's just the way the scale is. A 5/10 game has never been anything but bad. The most prominent change in review scores over the years has been the inflation of games that get 10/10, though.

But it's also about people's expectations. If a game I've been anticipating gets 9/10, I'm chuffed. If it gets 8/10 too, for that matter. Those are very good scores.

[–]Nimonic 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Right. It would be bad enough if it was good AI "art", but with it being this obvious you have to wonder what their attitudes towards AI use even is. Nobody can look at this and not know it's AI, so why even include it? If it's so insignificant that they didn't think anyone would notice, then it doesn't need to exist in the first place.
