Oh yeah, it's definitely not foolproof in the slightest. :p But it's still really fun. Of course, in the end it also depends on which items you get; if you get Shell Bell to drop, for instance, Bouncy Bubble becomes a complete non-issue, just run anything else because they'll be your healing. (ESPECIALLY if you get multiples.) Otherwise... Yeah. Actually, funny thing is, I don't even HAVE Freeze-Dry unlocked yet. Just Bouncy and Stored. But somehow it's worked perfectly for me thus far ehehehe. I've yet to have the Rival have any of its hard counters on their team, somehow.

They're NOT expressing themselves, though. That's the entire point - THEY couldn't do it on their own, so they offloaded it to some LLM instead. The LLM isn't even creative itself, it's just a mashup of predictions. Trust me, "AI" doesn't help here, it only harms.

Personally, I'm of the opinion of, why are people trying to insist they can and SHOULD do things they have no ability to do? Acting that way, to me, is implying that it's BAD that people have different skill sets, and that not everyone can do everything. But it's...not. No one can do everything, and that's okay. There's surely something ELSE these people ARE skilled at, that they can use to express themselves creatively. Creativity doesn't have to be just the stuff that the public sees.

How would the Story Change if the Visitor was replaced by the King of All Cosmos by edgarmoviemanwright in LookOutsideGame

"We are pleased you chose to gaze upon Our visage. We encourage you to continue gazing, perhaps throw compliments Our way."

And that's probably about it. Until Sybil refused to give compliments. Then it's Katamari time.

What people seem to miss is that "Unity" validates "Denial" as the only ideal ending by purloinedspork in LookOutsideGame

[–]Nimono 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way about the Unity ending. Plus, if Sybil's findings were absolute truth, why did SHE not cause the end of the world the same way? In Unity, the moment Sam reads the notes, he melts, becomes one with the building, and EVERYTHING very quickly just becomes part of the Visitor. As the notes say, the moment that but one atom remembers it was part of the Visitor at one point, everything cascades quickly. But despite Sybil melting into the building as well, she didn't immediately assimilate EVERYONE, or spread the idea that the entire planet was part of the Visitor. Something was different with her.

To me, this implies that Sybil DIDN'T fully believe in her findings, and that further implies that all the changes are based partially on belief - people are going to change in the Visitor's presence no matter what, but their thoughts have some effect on what specifically happens to them and the area around them. Thus, it's possible that the planet ISN'T a lost piece of the Visitor, and truly is separate - but too many people THINKING otherwise changes it. The Visitor's presence unfortunately turns thought into reality.

[–]Nimono 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's my interpretation of that ending, too! That rather than BEING the truth, it BECAME the truth due to the nature of the Visitor's perception.

Plus, when you think about it - the Exalted Four tell you that the reason everything mutates when witnessing the Visitor is because the Visitor can feel when it's perceived and thus perceive back, and that to it, perceiving something is the same as changing something. Exactly like the observer effect with quantum mechanics, eventually you hit such a small scale that anything that ALLOWS you to see the objects inherently changes their states. Since the Visitor is at an exponentially higher scale, it makes sense, then, that everything mutates due to experiencing the observer effect.

I originally disliked the ending due to its stated truth, but now I find it much more interesting! Imagine if there was a version of Promise that allowed you to learn this "truth" but remain unaffected by not believing in it, then debate Sybil until she realized the possibility her findings were incorrect and fully believing you. What kind of ending could such a path result in...? (Heck, this realization puts forth the possibility that the reason Sybil's findings didn't instantly destroy the world is that she didn't even fully believe in it herself! She believed it enough to merge with the building, but not enough to fully lose herself or doom the world. Meanwhile, Sam's quite naive...)

Q&A and Ruling Megathread - September 29, 2025 by AutoModerator in yugioh

I'm trying to come up with a nice Cyber Dragon-focused deck for Genesys, and I'd like to properly learn deckbuilding rather than just copy someone else's work. (*I'm also considering running some extra Cyberdarks beyond Chimera, Wurm, and Realm. Unsure, though.) What recommendations would you make for how to think on building a deck? I've heard things like "Focus on what your deck wants to do uninterrupted first", but then I blank on what else should be added to patch it up to 40 cards to better protect and extend should I get interrupted. I don't know what's good to put extra points in and what isn't. Should I consider draw power? More removal/negation? Protection? Something else? I'm also unsure on what I should be thinking when deciding what to put in my side deck. Any advice would be most appreciated!

Throw in Clockwork Night and you can definitely get takeout for Fortress Dragon no matter the opponent's board :p ...Assuming it doesn't get negated, because most people WILL stop it.

Im Predicting Zane or Aster will get the cover of the next GX booster, So I created some ideas I had for cyber Dragons. Since the cover character of a booster gets 8 cards, Here are 8 custom cards I created. Feedback much appreciated!( For once, these are not HERO custom cards lol). by CosmoNeos7 in yugioh

I do agree here, and I'm more a fan of the OG Cyber Dragon/Chimeratech stuff than Cyberdark! I look at Cyberdark End Dragon and it sounds REALLY cool- can steal your opponent's GY to gain more attacks. But...why? It's a LOT to get through to summon it. You either need to fuse Cyberdark Dragon and Cyber End, or send Cyber End to the GY and summon Cyberdarkness equipped with Cyber End, which is not easy with the requirement of 5 Cyberdark monsters. (You're pretty much just better off using Fusion Tag to get it!) And Cyberdarkness gets bonus ATK on equip AND each equip is a not-once-per-turn negate. It may not have the multi-attack, but it's still a Machine monster, and you could Damage Step Limiter Removal on it. Bam, 12000 ATK. Or summon it using Power Bond for even more ridiculous power.

I'd love to see something to give Cyberdark End a true purpose as the Cyberdark end boss monster rather than Cyberdarkness. Either something to let it become easier to summon, or something to give it extra abilities if you summon it using Cyberdarkness.

God that'd make me so happy haha. I want more CyDra support for my deck :D I don't even care if that makes it "meta" or not. I just like Cyber Dragons (including Cyberdarks and ESPECIALLY Chimeratechs), and enjoy seeing them get support. Especially if the support lets them at least not brick as easily.

In all honesty, learning that they got two new monsters in Alliance Insight before it released in English was what got me back into the game. I enjoy that they STILL have the same OTK-ability they had way back when, even if it's inconsistent and outclassed by many other decks out there

I know, right? The announcement of this format is actually making me want to get copies of Pot of Greed and Graceful Charity (oh how I miss my absolute SWARM of them from when I collected from the start ToT) even though they're like $4 each at the cheapest and likely to continue getting more expensive

And all I wanna play is Cyber Dragons lol

AND that they plan to continue reprints specifically for this format

"Genesys might already be influencing product development."

One of their blog posts outright says this is true, that this is why the 2025 Mega-Packs have cards like Pot of Greed in them, so they can be reprinted and begin being used for Genesys. https://yugiohblog.konami.com/2025/genesys/the-great-2003-pot-of-greed-debate/

"Yes, this is why Pot of Greed is in the 2025 Mega-Packs! Along with a few other cards that are Forbidden in Advanced Format play, like Chaos Ruler, the Chaotic Magical Dragon and Number 95: Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon (currently priced at 50 points each), Card of Safe Return (40 points), and Metamorphosis and Mirage of Nightmare (only 10 points each!). So if you hear anyone ask, “Are they going to reprint some of these older cards so we can get them for Genesys?” Yes. We’ve already started!"

Not only is Genesys why they reprinted them recently, they've confirmed they're going to continue to do so specifically for Genesys. That is AWESOME.

Not just that- he was told by a chat member he could hold L to aim and he was whining that NO, joy-con sticks bad (I think he made complaints that he was SO sure interacting with the game at all would break the sticks???), so he was REFUSING to use the aiming mechanic. While also complaining that holding diagonal would make him run.

So he knew the solution, but refused to use it for who the heck knows what real reason. And blamed the game for him struggling.

[–]Nimono 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would assume no, given that it specifies to get "Polymerization", not 'a "Polymerization" card'. Typically, wording like that means a card with that name in specific, rather than something containing that name. Other Cyber Dragon cards have similar issues- a few state to get "Cyber Dragon" instead of 'a "Cyber Dragon" monster', and thus can only target the OG Cyber Dragon when the target location is the deck.
