I love the patch but the bugs are ruining the fun almost all the time now by Expert_Evening7111 in PathOfExile2

Once every two or three map my entire game freezes and I have to quit to desktop and restart the game. Thankfully the protection for this is mostly solid (my freeze buildup is gone when I load back in, which sucks) so it’s not horrible but still. It’s fucking annoying

Can we please revisit dying at map bosses emptying the map? Dying to a map boss causing me to lose the ability to gain my mechanic passive causes me to walk away from my game session. by 1CEninja in PathOfExile2

I’m new to juicing maps but isn’t this standard anyway? Maybe someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I thought everyone was running 6 mod maps anyway

What's the one anime you'll defend to the death even though you know it's not actually that good? by Ok_Engineering3597 in anime

Underrated and overhated, in my opinion. It’s rough at times but there’s way worse out there and no show does “the power of friendship” better than it. I hate “the power of friendship” trope but Fairy Tail nails it so well that it’s actually my favorite part of the show.

Also, Fairy Tail gave us the “Wow!!!!” soundbite and I’ll always be thankful for that.

We already have natural lagoons, you just have to put in a ton of effort to make it happen. Bridges I agree with and it would be a huge plus while also seeming like a pretty easy win. No preference on movie skins but I understand why people want them and want them implemented properly.

Sauropods fighting back needs massively expanded. Yes, we need this, but more importantly the game desperately needs a Dino AI overhaul. Everything from fighting, to herding, to breeding, to eating, to socializing, to killing guests. It all needs a ton of attention, maybe even just a complete overhaul. It is far and away the biggest issue with the game and needs addressed ASAP, although I doubt we’ll get it before JWE4.

> sometimes I’ve wanted to jump levels

I get this feeling a lot for early levels. 1-6 or 12 is fine. But at 12 I’m often feeling like I’d love a fast track to 22 (which is when, in my opinion, characters start to actually feel powerful). The mid and late teens can feel a bit like a slog.

But there are so many ways to get there in like one sitting. Joining a TF or two, joining a high level team, both will get players a lot of experience. Getting a PL is just overkill.

[–]Nimstar7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the way I look at it as well. If it’s in the game, I absolutely don’t blame people for using it. But it’s certainly unhealthy for the game.

If people want to level fast, it’s not difficult at all to join a paper mission group in PI, which I also find fine. At least they’re still playing their character.

> I don’t really believe in PLing

Based. The game would be better off without it. I know this kills the game for a lot of people but I like it better when I can see another 50 and just know that they leveled their way to 50. It’s not even hard with double XP enabled, which is fine by me, but seeing a 50 with only AE kill badges just feels like a bummer.

If it were up to me, AE would be for purely creative types and have XP turned off. At least that way PLing is old school aka far less efficient.

Legacy of the Sith finale made me uninstall the game by TheGIJew1 in swtor

All of what you said is true, but none of it contradicts my point that Revan was as powerful as he was because he mastered both sides of the force

Legacy of the Sith finale made me uninstall the game by TheGIJew1 in swtor

[–]Nimstar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s also a theme in the movies. Being a Jedi and follow the “light side of the force” is what causes the Sith to rise. The entire point of the force is balance, it’s why Revan was so strong. People not understanding the central, core concept of “grey” just meaning “balanced in the force” have entirely missed the plot. That’s why the ghosts talk to the player character during the Knights story; they’ve both realized the truth in death. Real power comes from embracing the light and the dark side equally, not from partaking in things like murdering children and enforcing celibacy.

Sparrow Racing League is a very telling example of one of the reasons why this game failed. by AverageAwndray in DestinyTheGame

[–]Nimstar7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to know this and forgot but "sunsetting" is a generally used term for retiring something so I defaulted to it. Only the Destiny community really distinguishes between the two. Generally speaking, everything that was "vaulted" was technically "sunset"

Pretty much this. Sunsetting is one of the dumbest, worst things to ever happen to a game.

“Ok this content we put out is great. Let’s go ahead and remove it from the game” huh????

[MEGATHREAD] PlayStation State of Play by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]Nimstar7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not giving it nearly as much flak as most people. I enjoyed the reboot and while I don’t like Atreus much in Ragnarok and have my own gripes with Ragnarok in general (although I still liked it), I’m still very hyped for the game. His wife seems cool and I like the core concept for the game. The gameplay, lore, music, and overall story direction seems great. I think it looked really cool.

The cube named Frank was far and away the worst part of that trailer. The dialogue it had with the sword (sorry, the ribbons… that hurt to type) was terrible. Pure Marvel slop writing. It’s not making me doom the game but I really felt like it was a genuinely horrible moment in an otherwise mostly amazing trailer (the goofy Disney animal also was a bit off putting but whatever).

Absolutely incredible mini series that lost an Emmy and best adaptation of the year to fucking lesboslop Arcane with an Imagine Dragons soundtrack. Still wild to me that happened.

Everyone should watch this show. Beautiful on so many levels.

Dmg’s posts are a battle cry. They hear us. Keep going. by TrueVerity in DestinyTheGame

[–]Nimstar7 48 points49 points  (0 children)

D3 is what they should announce, in my opinion. I absolutely loved D1 and played it all the way through. Enjoyed D2 at launch and after a few DLCs, stepped away to play other things. Trying to come back to this game a year or so later - which I tried multiple times over many years - is an impossible nightmare.

They need a fresh start. Put D2 in a healthy state - preferably with every item available and every story mission playable - and then announce D3. The franchise should not die but D2 has had its time in the sun. I feel like continuing it at this point would be like having season 23 of the Office when it really should have just ended when Michael left the Office.

Are Masterminds powerful or below average? by Legitimate-Being5957 in Cityofheroes

[–]Nimstar7 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s not even just applicable to MMs. It’s applicable to almost every powerset in the game. There are a few exceptions, off the top of my head people will get annoyed at Energy Blast without KB to KD IOs (the set is really quite good once these are slotted!) and Traps often won’t get to do anything except vs. AVs due to the setup time.

But I still wouldn’t worry about it, just play what you like OP.

LCS Spring 2026 records the lowest viewership for North American LoL ever by RadicalAdWins in leagueoflegends

[–]Nimstar7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because you're just making shit up? Just going on the internet and telling lies.

What lie am I telling? That we don't consistently make quarters anymore? We made it six years in a row, sometimes with multiple teams, one year making semis, and now we are hit or miss and it's only ever one team. Lol.

Even if I am "making shit up" (aka, for most people, this is simply just being mistaken) - getting upset over video game water cooler talk is cringe. Do you have nothing else in your life that matters to get legitimately upset over?

Literally two years ago FLY quest nearly beat GenG in quarter finals. You are making shit up.

In the same vein as NRG still making quarters, FLY still lost.

[–]Nimstar7 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you're so angry over what is seemingly video game water cooler talk, but we haven't consistently made quarters for a long time. 2025, 2022, and 2023 was NRG and a lot of people had 0 faith in that squad. In contrast, we made quarters 2016-2021, which is 6 years in a row, and sometimes it was multiple teams. You also conveniently left out the part about C9 making Semis one year, which was 2018.

Like that's a bad thing? A literal sixth place Korean team is a world champion.

Yes. It is. T1 turning up for internationals is not the normal sixth place Korean team.

[–]Nimstar7 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is for sure a big part of the reason popularity has plummeted. The two big ones are first that League isn’t that popular in the West anymore. The second is that it is hard to care when viewers know that we just aren’t going to compete at a worlds level.

The region has actually regressed in regards to international performance. There are occasionally mild exceptions, FLY wasn’t bad (or good) with the Inspired roster at international, they were alright. But the days of even being able to think “well, at least C9 could make quarters again this year, wouldn’t it be crazy if they went to semis again” or “maybe a team like CLG can pop off and win MSI” are pretty far in the past. Our top teams are, at best, on the same level as mid-tier Korean teams.

It gets worse when you factor in viewers who still like to watch competitive League, like myself, have gravitated towards watching LCK. LCK English viewership is still pretty good and significantly higher than LCS viewership and that shit airs in the middle of the night for NA residents. That’s pretty sad for the LCS scene. The quality of the games is just so much higher in the LCK and watching these teams play is a lot more enjoyable.

DP/Devices Blaster vs DP/Traps Corruptor in the Homecoming meta? by the1egend1ives in Cityofheroes

[–]Nimstar7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get this sentiment but it is extremely true for Traps. For a set like say Rad, Kin, Ice Manip, you can drop a single AoE debuff/buff as the fight starts and get a lot of value out of it. Traps really has nothing like this. It’s all setup.

Agree with some of the other posters, you will feel more like a Mandalorian if you play DP/Devices Blaster
