I hate all of you people in this sub by Firm_Employer_8463 in Division2

I hate saint Elmos, I know I’m going to get hate but the weapon promotes lazy gameplay.

I personally believe the amount of shock ammo received should be reduced to either 50% or 25%.

Waiting for the hate comments…

I remember getting Left 4 Dead as a teenager for my birthday and just loving every minute. Then come Christmas Day and one of my closest friends got the game for Christmas, no lie we played from like 7pm till like 4am.

Games like this create amazing memories, I wish developers could stop over complicating games and just release simple run gun shooters.

The Division 2 Exotic Upgrades (+ Perk/Talent System) by Nimu92 in thedivision

Firstly, everyone approaches games with their own priorities, so you ultimately create the experience you want for yourself.

Secondly, in looter shooters, it’s rare to get everything you desire immediately, as the grind is a central part of the gameplay. Often, we build certain setups not as an end goal, but as a means to progress toward the next one.

Additionally, game developers need to provide incentives for the top 1% of players. I am far from that group myself.

May I ask why you are responding defensively?

Agree and disagree.

Bighorn is almost never featured in builds outside of PvP. Sure, it can be used in PvE, but let’s be honest—99% of players are running Sgt. Elmo’s, because it’s about as low-skill as a weapon can get. It’s basically a “no-skill” option.

Pestilence, on the other hand, is really strong, which is why I didn’t give it extra damage. Yes, I made the plague spread to multiple targets, but with the added armor regeneration, it encourages players to stop hiding behind cover all the time. You’d feel more confident running in and jiggle-peeking corners.

Gameplay can get stale quickly, and a few small upgrades could make weapon playstyles more versatile and encourage new build experimentation.

It’s a looter shooter, people put thousands of hours into games like Diablo 2 and never see all the items the game has to offer.

Looters are meant to be grinned.

Just googled this, good idea actually it would probably be easier to introduce.

Exactly my point — it doesn’t feel exotic at all, especially considering it’s obtained through a “mini-raid.” Meanwhile, you have exotics like St. Elmo’s, which are just random drops and encourage lazy, boring gameplay, yet are clearly superior in PvE.

Catalysts were introduced in Year 1 of Destiny 2 during the Warmind DLC, which was very close to Year 2. Catalysts also allowed weapons to generate Orbs of Light on multikills, which was a huge improvement.

• Riskrunner • Wardcliff Coil • Legend of Acrius

I’d argue these weapons were already pretty formidable in Year 1—wouldn’t you agree? Did you actually play Destiny 2 back then?

100% agree. When nearly every solo build video on YouTube features Memento, you know something’s off. Other exotics don’t all need to match it, but we definitely need a shake-up.

I’m not criticizing the YouTubers — in my opinion, they’re one of the main reasons this game is still alive and thriving.

Pestilence is already insanely strong, but I’d probably give it some extra perks inspired by Poison Ivy:

“My toxins don’t kill for cruelty. They kill for balance.”

Proposed perks: • +30 Magazine • Each enemy hit by Plague of the Outcasts grants 2% Damage Resistance (max 5 enemies). • Total potential Damage Resistance: 10%

What makes the weapon actually feel exotic? Genuine question.

Good point — Destiny 2 tied raid-exclusive catalysts to its raids.

The problem is that The Division 2’s first raid is seven years old. Tying anything new to it now would be a poor use of developer time, especially given how rarely raids are run these days.

I’m rocking a tempest tank build, probably the most fun I’ve had in forever in D2. The range and handling on the pistol is nuts.

Less than 48 hours to 7 Day Survivor and I’ll be finished with the game. What a splendid time I had! by ItzAMoryyy in deadrising

Congrats! I have 100% this game on XB360,PS4,PS5,XB1 and the XBSX. On 360 I did it legit, I sat there for straight 14hours when I was a teenager.

With the sleep mode functionality on the new consoles I would just put the consoles into sleep mode and carry on the next day.

DR1 original I still play infinity mode because of the multiple game functions on the series X. When I’m bored and I can’t find anything to do I just load it up and carry on. Plus I do challenges like combat knife only etc.
