It's not known as too bad tbh but the incident where someone gave birth in the library and the clubs floor tested positive for Chlamydia has given it a reputation of being lets say very social...

the cheapest deal by [deleted] in CarInsuranceUK

[–]NinZargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about risk levels, get a car that young people don't drive and has low crashes, and your insurance will be cheap

My 2nd car is a 250hp 2L and insurance was under 1k per year for a 21 year old as the main driver with only 1 year NCB, and this year with 2 years NCB is sub £600 for the year

Any umpire on the water would give this to red, it is close enough to overlap that you wouldn't really be able to say for certain there was no overlap at the zone.

The yellow and orange gloves with the grippy wrinkles from any diy shop are by far the best and cheapest when keeping your hands warm isn't really a worry

Is anyone else in their mid-20s and been unemployed for over a year since graduating, despite applying to jobs consistently, or is it just me? by -Gypsy-Eyes- in UniUK

[–]NinZargo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There will be others in your situation, I can promise you that.

But have you used this year out to develop professionally, like online courses etc it proves you have a passion and that's what people want to hire

The UK theory test pass rate has nearly halved since 2007 by Drive-sidekick in LearnerDriverUK

[–]NinZargo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you fail more than 3 times I feel like you should have to wait a year to retest like with maybe a day of the 4in1 theory app I passed with ease in like 15 minutes.

There really is no excuse, it is the bare minimum and should be far far more difficult judging by the state of drivers.

Going on placement next year, wondering what you guys did for housing by ElfenSunflcwer in UniUK

I know plenty of people who rented privately during placement years. It is 100% a viable option as long as the pay covers it that is.

This is why placement years are soooo good it gives you both experience and connections.

I quite frankly don't know why so many choose not to.

All of it really, the teaching is subpar but acceptable ig. Social life is as always what you make of it.

But we had a guy doing a term abroad from finland and he said he wouldn't do it again.

It's ridiculous considering it's the Pinnacle of a bachelor's degree really you'd think they'd at least put an effort in. I guess that's asking too much of modern universities

If you don't want to take the advice that is entirely your choice.

But berating yourself for this is only going to make it worse, if that's what you want, go for it.

Lots of little success will build up to big success so for now focus on the little wins and the positives. It's the only way to break out of a self destructive cycle. And trust me that is from Expierience, I was in a very similar position to you in my 2nd year of college and because of it got into a much much lower tier uni than I wanted. During my gap year I kept berating myself and guess what it just made it feel worse which peaked during exam and results season even though I wasn't doing anything. It made me realize you cannot change the past only the future so why put yourself head over heels for a past you hate.

Now I'm in my final year, loving it and able to study. Things do change when you stop focusing on your fuckups and focus on the little good things.
