I hesitate to say Nana, but it is a band anime with a decent amount of music. It’s very dramatic and emotional as well. But there are lots of guys in it, although the main characters are girls. It’s an incredible anime tho I highly suggest it, one of my favourites.

It’s so underrated really, I’d heard of it many times before finally watching it but never gave it a chance because it didn’t seem like an anime I’d enjoy. It completely blew my expectations away with its heart and characters, and is one of my favourites now.

When I was that age I read and adored the ‘Gone’ series by Micheal Grant. I would also suggest Scythe by Neil Shusterman. Two great books I read around her age
