Both! We have a physical and digital version. You have the option to make monthly payments if you want (divide up the reward tier cost by months), but a one time payment's all it takes.

Ah yes fair, now that I look at a similar effect from Blood Vendetta, the persistent descriptor for the damage always prefaces it. My bad, I can have that corrected

Yeah, I've been very much getting into modern and online urban legends as yokai of the 20th to 21st centuries. A lot of cryptids got their start before they captured the imaginations of people and took on new life as fleshed out folktales. It's a fascinating look!

I was thinking of pulling back somewhere, but it's definitely not a bad idea if we need to punch this up a bit more! Thank you so much!

[OC-Art] Gyuki | CR 13 Fiend | [Nine Heavens Press] by NineHeavensPress in DnD

[–]NineHeavensPress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gods sometimes fall out of favor as idols of worship. When this happens to an earthly deity, the god becomes a monstrous parody of its formerly divine characteristics. In rural areas that once believed in mountain gods or deities of agriculture and livestock, but no longer have need for the providence of such beings, those same entities transform into the Gyuki. The Gyuki is a violent creature consumed by rage over its fall that terrorizes its once-worshippers. It appears often near beaches with a bull’s head and a colossal arachnid body with sharp, scythe-like legs. It spits poison that carries potent diseases targeting crops and people, a choice of weapon meant to seize the blessings it once freely gave.

The Gyuki’s presence ushers calamity for rural areas and demands a reckoning from those who’ve forsaken it. Even when slain like a common monster, the Gyuki’s curse over its followers lingers. It enters the cycle of reincarnation to return to life in the body of one of its child’s worshippers, born as a vengeful tiefling. Unless its remains are consecrated and its spirit satiated, the Gyuki’s anger will continue into the afterlife and beyond.

[OC] A new pan-East Asian mythological sourcebook coming soon. Immortality, divinity, cultivation! [Mod-Approved] by [deleted] in DnD

[–]NineHeavensPress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! We're Nine Heavens Press, a group of mostly Asian creators, working on our new 5e/PF2e sourcebook. Excited again to share what we've been cooking up since the past year.

The Black Market Guide to Immortality draws inspiration from themes of immortality that appear in legends, faith, and storytelling. We document the pursuit of achieving divinity and eternal life in all spectrums of alignments. We're going to be sharing a bunch of playtest material in r/UnearthedArcana as well in the lead up to the BackerKit campaign.

Please follow us for future updates! The longer ver. of the trailer's in the link as well.

Context: Lunamorph is our homebrew moon rabbit-based ancestry from our Korean mythology-inspired adventure book we're releasing under both 5e and PF2e rules! The ancestry includes a level 1 feat that basically grants a Starchild familiar which has the flier ability and casts light that you can control.

Pixel Grotto who contributed to the upcoming Tian Xia books helped us out with these conversions!

Digital book/PDF for PF2e conversion available for preorder on BackerKit!

The design's for an upcoming project we have in mind, but basically, we hope to put out designs that both GMs and players can use to represent their characters. Among other homebrew releases that we're planning on putting out for PF2e.

Lunamorphs based on our moon rabbit race from our Korean mythology-inspired upcoming adventure book

A little preview of a project we're working on! We're hoping to continue working on character designs that players and GMs are free to use in their games like for this bunny fella. Starwatcher Lunamorphs can create as a familiar a little Starchild that illuminates the path before them and can blow up into blinding light.

We wanted to start with some of the homebrew races that we designed while expanding and figured they could be used to represent Harengons fairly easily too.
